Love your setup Hybrid its a unique and interesting lighting design to say the least:clap:

Have subbed and I am looking forward to seeing how you get on:p
Thanks man! Yeah, I like it. Got 2#'s off 4 plants last run using 600watts. So I bought more. Now it's 1300 watts of vetical light & 300 watts of overhead to run a 4'x10' section.
Stay tuned, it gets interesting.

Yeah, it's a bit tough w/ all these strains. Some are on crates to keep the tops evened out. Gonna put up the end cap trellis tonight hopefully n clean-up the 2 taller Chem-D #4's that took a hit when I tried the new organic Microbe Life nute. Hopefully they'll still produce.
I too grew the Grape-God once. I think the Kings is 1/2 Grape-God but it's a beast of a plant. How's your Vert going?

only have a pic from the new grow room.didnt take any at the old grow this week.from left to right blueberry platinium that was gifted to me.didnt stretch at all.on 4 weeks.2nd plant gg4 just stripped and put in the flower room.3rd plant gg4 2 weeks in.last one gg4 3 weeks in.temps were getting too high with the dehumidifier added so took the 600 out of the veg room.hopefully the new meanwell driver will be in before next week and i will add a 200 watt cxb light in the veg room, have an old ebay ufo and a 2 bulb t8 light in there now.dropped the temp in both rooms to around 82 with all lights and equipment on.20161226_223042.jpg

what temp are your horizon lights?are they sealed like the cloak lights?are they the same leds as the cloak lights?i am thinking of ordering a few and trying them out the way i grow now!if i could drive them at 200 watts that would be cheaper then the lights i have been building.

Looking good! What Blueberry is that? I love the Original Blueberry strain. Got one in veg now.
The Horizons I'm using in between my vertical blades are 4K upon my request because I wanted to supplement some blue into the 22k verts. Yes, they are also sealed w/ a coating of silicone & use the same top-bin Cree diodes.
They come at 100 watts but put out some serious light.
If you put one on each side of your plant, you'll definitely increase your yields. Wow! That's actually an awesome idea. That would be bad-ass. But that would be like $500-$600 a plant. You'd have to discuss pricing w/ them. Might get a deal.
Bout to put up the new 56k veg Horizons this week hopefully.

all i know about it is it is blueberry platinium.didnt see anything when i searched online.if they are the same diodes they should be able to be to be driven harder.i am thinking one per plant if they can be driven harder and use my vertical scrog.either way i am thinking i will pick one up ,even at 100 watts it will make a good veg light.cant wait to get your opinion on them for vegging.

Broke a branch off the Chem-D. Didn't clone this strain this time but it does real well In the Cloak so it looks like I'll try Monster Cropping. Never did it w/ buds formed like this. image.jpgHere's the Chem-D #4 out so I can add a T-8 to the top. Seeing how o broke this branch I probably just lost whatever extra yield I may have gotten from the T-8. Stupid. Sometimes it's better to just leave em alone. image.jpgCan't believe this was just in a 6" Pott a few weeks ago. Haha! Boy they fill out quick w/ full illumination. She's one of the smaller ones too.

[my girl said that monster crop looks like a hermie plant to her. lol! Think she's right? Re-Veg cloning that thing will invite problems???

If we could get a closer pic from here it looks female but cant be 100% sure if you had a slightly undershot of the clone would be better can not see all the internodes very well.

It's a female. I clone. Was referring to the possibility of it growing up to be a hermie plant.
No biggie now, threw it out. That strain did pretty well in this system though so wanted to clone it. Oh well, I'll get another.
Nice pics hybrid:clap:

What light/spectrum is the plant above under?

And how long into flower is it?
The Top-lights are called Horizons & are 4k. The verticals being used w/ the Horizons are 22k (matching the Philips DE). The LEDs K-Temps are much better then he same K-temps on Floro. Nice n full, nonna that spikey stuff. Because there is a silicone layer over the diodes, it adds blue w/o losing red. So about 2K is added to each K-Temp.
My newest SunCloak is 27k. That wasn't stock. The owner custom made them for me along w/ 32" blades. Don't think ive posted many pics of the 27k blades yet cuz I still need to cut all the dead off them from a lil overdosage on some Microbal Sewage.

22k vert, 4k above, 10 or 11 days I think straight from 6" Potts.

Big fat Welcome here to you 2 guys! Are you guys running tents or rooms? Feel free to post updates here or on my other thread anytime. Stay up! Peace!

my welded 3 x4ft aluminum frames are[now] made for the Estonian rigid strips/drivers i bought
when i get them insrtalled and running ..will update..
they are double rows of leds 20w for 16" strip..i will live with the extra watts.[.i may leave out the over heads]

anyway..your suncloaks are doing pretty good wha?

Sounds like it's working out. Do keep me updated. How many 20 watt strips are there & what are they 16" long of double rows? Link me to the Rigid strips again please. I'd like to fabricate something out of led hard strips that can go above my more narrow bays.
Right now I have 2 tube 3k T-8's above the 2 27k bays. Hate using them if I can get 4' hard strips. But they are keeping the tops around 320 umols evenly. Funny though, is that the top strip on the Cloak is soooo much brighter then the 32w tube, using only 12.5-15 watts. The LED strips blow away Floro tubes. Was thinking about just buying the 15w led Floro replacement tubes from the Depot but they have a plastic shell over them & are already 8000 lumens less then the 32w Floro.
Yeah, if you could link me to different led hard strips that would be appreciated. Are your Rigid strips better then the Samsung?
I may just ask Doug to make me some 4 strippers. I like all the light I can get cuz my plants are not optimal for this system the way I grew them. They've been tipped quite a few times & are thick bushes, making it tough for the light to get in. Did some De-Fo but not a full stripping like I should've. Mainly cuz many of these strains don't respond well to it.
The actual recommended way to grow in the Cloak using 3 bays for highest yields is 9 plants, straight stalks w/ very little veg. I think it's 30 days from sprout or clone. That's how's Poeple get the best results from this system. I've yet to try it that way. The way I ran them last run worked out pretty well too.
Not sure how you grow or prepare your veg normally but you may want to consider the manufacturer recommended directions.
This run for me, I needed to add light just so I can try to get most of what these plants have to offer. They could be 14 oz. plants by their size & how full they are from full illumination. But, the Cloak puts out only enough light for 8oz. Plants using 2 plants over bay. Which is very, very efficient. Getting 7-9 oz. off 150 watts a plant.
This system doesn't need extra light added if I had not bushed them. Can't wait to see what effect these 4k Horizons have on my yields. The way it's going I feel like they will add another 1.5 #'s using 3. If so, I'm definitely getting more. I'd like to use one on each end-cap too. Probably ask for the 2'x4' version though.
ZepLovers grow style would be perfect to hang one Horizon vertically on each side of the plant. I bet that would easily hit 2 gpw that way.
One could easily build their own version of the SunCloak using Horizons & just buy a few every harvest till your done.
But yeah, I'm going to ask him to make me what I want to replace those T-8's. The thought of breaking one over the buds scared the shit outta me plus they just look like wasted electricity next to the top horizontal strips in the Cloak. Real bad. 32w & not even close to being as bright as the led strips.
He may not be able to cuz he works these in 100w intervals. I'm also interested in finding out how much load these Medium-Powered diodes can hold. Pretty sure he's well under the 1/2 power mark.
When I open up the box to hang the 56k veg Horizons, I'll show you a close up of what they're like. You may find it easier to try to build those. They'd be more versatile in the garden & can be used just like the Cloak.
Definitely keep us updated & as you know, Im happy to help if I can. You're spot welding them? What's your total dimensions? Very interested to see your work.
Ok, rant over n out.

p.s. on the defo..maybe next time try taking10x more leaves..[no jk]

you can getself powered cheap led tubes that are 120 lm/w from china for not a lot..we are using them for aquaponics greens..there are highe rl m/w ones that cost 2x as much..
but in reality i just know they work ok ..not if the lm/w is correct specs from them..

>its getting there..i bought 50[hope to make a panel too] from a member here who lives in Estonia at this time..

...they came with their own[cute] 90+ % drivers..

yes 16", double rows..apparently 176 lm/w..i think 4000cct..[i forget]..

last thing i would say is something is better than the other when i have tried neither....i like the singles on the suncloak..

> he made/welded me 6[i think] @ 3' x 4' from 1/8" aluminum angle bar though i have yet to see them or know the cost

i had him weld the angle bar so each would point away at a 90 degree angle..i will have to mount them and

connect all the drivers to as few ac lines as i can..have bunch of wago's ordered.

Don't mind the plants. A few need some TLC.
220 watts of T-5
image.jpg
200 watts of Horizon
image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Each one of these should outperform my 440 watt 2'x4' T-5.
I went w/ 16" wide instead of 24" for more light density. Seems to be working out as planned. The light is getting deeper into the plants then the T-5 by a decent amount too.
Loving the Horizons.
