Sub! Don't give up yet!

For every lazy grower, there's a dozen of us that understand and respect the time it's taken you to refine the 'SuperSoil' method over the years. And we read.

I'm Canadian - East coast - so we really don't have access to Roots products 'round here, but I put the time in to find local products that would substitute for it properly. All the other ingredients were found with moderate effort. My point is that there's hoards of us that try to do ya right. Ignore the mouth-breathers and focus on us! ;)

Now, of course, comes the question:

Can you confirm what is TGA's lowest ODOR variety ?

I've read JillyBean is low odor, but not in one of your posts, so I take it with a grain of salt. I know you select for premium characteristics, so I've always assumed that TGA offerings would be very fragrant and more potent than most strains out there.

But, do you have a recommendation for someone seeking to grow something from TGA with low odor throughout flowering?

Thanks for doing what you do, and keeping all the planets in their proper orbit...

Stay up-

- Uncle Andy

EDIT: I should state that I do not own your book, so if the answer to my question is in those pages, I apologize, I haven't purchased or read it yet.

Andy,
Your a Green Avenger bro and not subject to my normal wrath :)
My gear reaks thats the point but if I had to call one strain it would be the Jilly as it dosn't really smell so much like weed but like orange candy.
its also the lowest lvl of skunk smell ( well most females) so that would be my call but nothing in our line can be described as low odor.

heck yea, this very thread was the beginning of my new gardening technique also! Ive copied most things you do down the the "t" and im putting out the dankest bud I ever have. Ive gotn two batches of soil cookin, 5 TGA girls almost done, 8 more TGA girls vegging, and 4 packs of seeds in the mail ;-)

I havent finished any of your strains yet, but the Querkle and the Jilly look to be kicking the shit out of everything else i had in my garden! Almost time for the money shots..

Subcool has reiterated numerous times just how many years it has taken him to perfect his recipe and the fact that in his opinion super soil does not need any more amendments.

Peace bro and good luck

Hey Sub,
Thanks again, my girls are growing like champs. As long as I keep them watered they're good. I'm a first time SS user, but I think I'm hooked.

Yep use the recipe as is, greensand takes way way to long to break down and Roots has a small amount anyway I believe.

Not to butt in here brah, but Subcool did answer most of these questions already, so I'll tell you what he's said, from my observations;

Out of all of his strains, he recommends trying Vortex 1st.

He also has threads for certain strains detailing how he grows them. They're in the "old-school organics' subcategory. You really have to just dig around and read man, it's all in here on this forum -- you'll be surprised.

I asked him about smart pots on this very same thread you're reading, just a couple of pages back;
He said he has some, but he hasn't used them, although he plans to give them a try. I used 7 gallon smart pots with supersoil, and it worked just fine.

And as for the nutes, DON'T ADD ANY WITH SUPERSOIL. He's stressed that on here billions of times. As for the sugar, he said he uses Sucanat or raw cane sugar, and occasionally Sweetleaf, Bud Candy, or Pureblend bloom, but only a couple of times during flowering -- I personally use Sucanat and citric acid, and stay away from name-brand sugars. Either way, less is more with this stuff.

Hope this helps man. Again, you should really just read all of these threads, as they're packed with info that you'll probably want to read.
