I used to use General Hydro but its only 10 molar and AN is like 30 molar I have had my jug of AN ph down for 3 years now and its atill 3/4 full.
AN also makes Bud Candy the most amazing product I have ever used on cannabis
I dont buy any other products so I am not promoting AN I think there mainly smoke and mirrors but there profits allow great research and they make good products.

I dont make recommendations lightly or without lots of thought.

You cant design and build an indoor environment for growing cannabis on the cheap or a myriad of problems will surface.
Crappy venting brings mildew and heat, crappy design brings bugs.
Don't make the proper designs on security and you will get ripped off.
Yes you can grow weed in a closet on the cheap but thats not exactly what I am teaching here :)
My tutorials are designed to teach legal growers how to provide the best possible cannabis medication possible and not run out.

thanks for your time and information, truly have saved me countless years , i wish you the best! cant say thanks enough...

Well I started the gathering of goods today.

I purchased
Blood meal
Sweet lime (dolomite)
Bone meal
2 bags of roots (only had space for two so I will pick them up till I have 8)
50 pds of worm castings.
Epson Salts

My local nursery/garden store did not have the Bat guano, powdered humic acid, azomite

When the complete mix is made it should make about 12.5 cubic feet I estimate? That should be about 90 or 95 gallons?

If you were to run a 4X8 area with the #10 pots how many would you run in the 4X8 I was thinking 10 as I will put in two 1000 watt lights air cooled, co2 and all that fun stuff.

If I was to run 4 4X8 tents I could see going through this batch every 6 weeks or so. WOW....

Sound about right I fill 3 large hefty garbage cans full

Id run 4 per light

We are thinking of renting a commercial mixer next run I have people in CO making on slabs with bob cats and filling rail road containers to keep up with there demand.
Once you use Super soil its hard to ever grow any other way.

I noticed in MiMedicalMJ's post he's got just reg bone meal, not Steamed bone meal. Is there an big difference in the NPK or are they kinda interchangeable?

Also i'm having real trouble finding Humic acid powder, and was told by my local azomite carrier that Dry humic acid is also know as humate. With that in mind do you know of Rabbit Hill Humate? On amazon its frequently purchased along side of, worm castings, steamed bone meal, blood meal ..... LOL damn SUB influenced the trends on amazon this man is a small economic boost for the garden industry:mrgreen:

Also I was thinkin the other day about a cheaper way to store the SS than trash cans. Have you ever considered using heavy duty trash bags ? Just a random idea, I figured you could fit the same amount or more into each and maybe save a lil space as well.

Ohh and lastly, when do I use miracle grow plant food, I know you said just use water but I want to add like 30-10-10 just be safe LOL;-)

For anyone who hasn't read the whole damn thread, seriously just stop being lazy, I've read it twice, well second time I only read sub's responses, but still 90% of possible questions have been covered and re-covered so do your self(and Sub) a favor read IT ALL FIRST then ask.

Don't want to sound like a dick but here goes... I have been thinking about switching to organics and have thought about using humboldt nutrients organic line. But this super soil sounds sooo easy to use. Am I correct in assuming you simply make the mix, the repot your plants into it and water from that point forward? When you switch to flower do you add anything or is the initial soil mix + H2O all you need for the entire grow? What about cal-mag+?

This guy read and understood the post.
he is disabled and did not log on and ask me 15 questions he simply followed the recipe.

I was so impressed I am donating 5 strains to his effort.

( He spent his last cash on the supply's)

whats up sub? Just wondering, do you use the bud candy in the same manner that you would use sucanat? That being, 1-3 times in between days 35-50?

Thanks man, look forward to giving it a shot

That is just too kind of you! It is SOOO nice to see people like yourself who help those patients with extra needs whose expenses are extra tight due to medical bills or fixed income.

OK off track for a sec... Why do you not offer femminized seeds? When in a state with such low and strict limitations its hard to risk half turning out male and having to loose half of what you anticipated to be quality medicine.

OK back on track

Tonight I met one of the men from the Rolling Stone article and I was really impressed when finding out about his patients (in MI we can have a max of 6 people to grow for and total 72 plants). Well anyway his biggest consumer of product (she needs a tinture of sorts he makes as her ailment is a skin issue that causes swelling, pain and much more). I was SHOCKED when I heard what amount of product is used to make the rub he makes for her mthly (she goes through almost 18 ounces and most is topical as thats the only way the works for her illness).
Anyway we discussed patient pricing and a lot has to do with the patient themselves in his case as he has some of the BEST meds he can be picky and people pay his prices BUT he treats this woman for FREE!!! 100% free even though she consumes more than the 12 plants the state allows to be grown for her. Now dont get me wrong she is so appreciative when he sees her a couple times a mth she makes him dinner but still WOW he is taking a major financial hit to do the right thing and you know what??? Its nice to see!!! Inspired me to find myself a patient that is seriously in need of medicine and not just left overs but the top quality meds that cant afford it due to fixed income and med bills and treat them for free.

Lastly anyone who reads Midwest Cultivator read this mths issue it talked about a CG who was raided but the cops left him alone as he was in legal limits, had all his papers in proper order thanks to his atty and handled his encounter with the police with nothing but respect and professionalism. and they were impressed when they saw he had two SSI patients he treated for free.

Guys.... The laws are flawed but we need to respect them BUT we need to let ourselves be heard and let our officials know we are not happy and why! Be realistic, be polite and be respectful. LE right or wrong are doing what their bosses tell them, the men at your door are simply doing what their bosses tell them, respect them and if you are in the legal range and polite you have a much better chance.

Subcool,
I just finished watching your youTube videos. What is you "secret ingredient" in the soil...it wasn't captured on the camera? Also should I add Myco to the mix?
I was thinking about Humboldt's Myco Maximum or GH's Subculture-M. Do you have a particular brand that you recommend?

Edit: I am pondering using AN's Bud Factor X, Bud Candy and H&G's root excelurator. Can you comment on these additions? I know you use the bud candy, have you used Bud Factor X or the roots excelurator? ........Also I am planning on getting some seeds from you but atm I can't justify dropping $360 on 4 packs so am gunna try some of sannie's seeds. DO you have any experience with his strains?

sub,
does pandoras box, and jillybean have specific requirements for how much super soil should be filled in the pot?or is it just the standard amount? also i was wondering if miracle grow organic was ok to use for blood and bone meal. they are derived from a non cow source... thx

edit: i wanted to state that i have in fact read all 70 pages and and couldn't find what i was looking for. my main concern was that miracle gro was of poor quality.also there was nothing to be found regarding specific amounts of ss in the pandoras or jilly bean thread.

Not trying to step on any toes, but it might be easier for all involved if there was a separate topic for each of your strains Sub. A quick write up including growing methods etc... I know I would really like something like that.

:wall: Not to be a prick and stomp on your toes but Guest999 you've got to kidding right? The man is bustin his ass, take care of his paitents, and answering questions from all us newb's and, you have the audacity to ask him to write up a thread on each of his strains. WOW:wall:
Ohh wait he's allready done something along those lines if you look for it.

Have you not looked at the first page in this Sub-forum the man covers everything from the soil, to your ducting, and everything inbetween. If you do some searching you'll find plenty of info on how he treats each strain, or how someone else did. I get your idea and all but thats a lil rediculous to have a " blueprint" for each plant.

We all need to realize we are all spoiled by this and other forums. All this knowledge, that we all want to gain at the click of a mouse, was learned over years of trial and error. Sometimes its best to just try somethings and learn somethings instead of looking to sub and others for all the answer's. & with that being said.....

Hey Sub could you answer my questions please LOL, I'm such a hypocrit.

Dude, c'mon it was a suggestion. Not a request....think of it as an online entry into a hypothetical suggestion box...."Hey Sub, this and this would really benefit alot of people and you wouldn't have to answer redundant question, etc, etc"....I have read most of the stickies and just finished reading this a few hours ago. Sub does mention several times about having to alter the ratios depending on the strain and its asked over and over....kinda begs the question if you ask me....

Hell if Sub has some info he can pass me, i wouldn't mind doing the gruntwork...

BTW sub, when we water what do we feed our plants? JK;-)
