just read through your journal great job those buds look dank and frosty. I read somewhere on this page that you have some plants veggin under a 250watt cfl? is it a daylight (6500K)? I grow using cfls and have only been able to find 300watt 2700K and one 6500K that wasn't ballasted and had a mogul base (from lowes). where did you get that? Im trying to run an experiment and need some bulbs like that.

Im based in Europe. Fairly easy to get them over here. Only thing i could see being a problem is that we run 22v for Electricity rather then 110v in the US.

Heres the link anyway. Bulbs are fine for use for vegging small plants or clones but I dont think they're great for flowering.

Anyway heres the link to the bulb I use http://cgi.ebay.ie/250W-8U-6400K-E40-CFL-Grow-Light-Bulb-Lamp-BLUE-/200549596700

The pink tops of those buds are real nice looking, actual looks strawberry flavoured!! Good work mate, you definitely made the best of a bad situation with the nute burn.

Im not sure you'd need a ballast as those CFLs have an internal ballast I thnk. Possibly a stepdown transformer

So umm,

Whats happening with the SSH?? I'm running mine in week 12, soon to be 13. And I'm anticipating at least 2 -3 more. But I also experienced a bad nute burn, apparently you had the same experience...

Yesterday was day 70 so 10 weeks basically. Will sort out some pictures tomorrow to keep up the photos. About half the pistils have gone amber. Unfortunately I lent my microscope to someone so need to get that back to check the trichomes. Have a bit of a dilema at the minute cause my beans for the next grow just sprouted and im worried about starting them for the first 2 or three weeks under 12/12 if the haze goes that long. might need to take her early but will wait till i can check the trichomes.

Does anyone think it would cause an issue to have new sprouts under 12/12 for a week or two then 18/6 for 2 maybe 3 weeks and then flower. Will this over stress them?

So after getting my micropscope back and having a close look with some consultation from a fellow grower, down came the last girl of this crop. About half the pistils had turned amber but most if not all of the trichomes had gone milky where I wanted them to be for a more heady high. Was able to lift the screen straight off so picture may look a bit funny as the plant sprung straight back up.I took it was 76 days. Probably could have let it go further but wanted to get the next ones going as fast as possible. Felt it yielded better than the Cough but buds arent quite as dense. Suppose thats the full sativa over the slight indica influence from the Cough. Unfortunately Im ill with thee flu at the moment and that means I couldnt smell the crop as we chopped it down. Hopefully will have my taste back in time to get a good taste of it when its dry

On the whole it was a pretty successful grow. Would always like more but thats up to me to sort and do better next time out. A nice grow always make you want to go bigger. Would love to do a 1m x 1m x 2m Tent but just havent the space for it. Will post back again when I have a dried weight of the haze

So the haze was dried yesterday. Had a couple of spliffs and very happy with it. Will be even better with some curing time but decent product already. Buds dried kinda airy. Managed to yeild 34.5 grams dried. Out of the 3 plants I yielded 105 g or .25g per watt.
Need to up that for the next attempt. Cheers everyone who stuck around and gave advice and opinions. Also hope people could learn something from my experiences.
See you for the attempt.

You will indeed my friend. Have the next ones vegging in cab already. Another Shining silver haze which is a clone from the one in this grow, a blackberry feminised seed, a purple haze feminised seed and Blue hash feminised seed. All except the blue hash were started 8 or 9 weeks ago so have been vegging since then. All have shown female preflowers which is a bonus. Blue hash is only a week old or so and will need to catch up. Will start a new journal later today and will post the link for anyoone who wants to tag along
