So I have a plant growing outside...

I have this plant started from bag seed roughly 1 month ago. I realized about 5 days ago that it has hairs (sex organs, female) coming out of the nodes and tip. I found online that putting plants out this early in the year is still bad (the light is still in flower mode). I guess this makes sense.

Question is. Seeing as how it just started flowering (and unfortunately isn't very big of a plant for this), if I leave it outside how much longer until the light changes and flowering ends?

At that point I'd probably put her under a makeshift CFL rig to accommodate for the light change and finish up flower.

Any help helps!!!

Something like that happened to me. I just went to 12/12 and flowered mine out. I just had a dwarf plant with 6" to 8" bud's.
But I don't know what you should do.

She will revert into veg soon
Any idea when? She has a lot more hairs coming out now, actual "buds" look to be forming on the main kola and other bud sites.

If I know when to put her inside on 12/12 I'll do it. I'm not looking to get a large yield. I just figured I'd stick this one out.

Edit: May get pics later today. I just hope everything works out.

look online to find out when your area will have more than 12 hours of light and around that time bring her in and flower her inside

So I found out from a light-schedule calendar, that in my area the sun is already out for roughly 12:30 hours a day. Which obviously IS NOT good for my situation.

In another 2 weeks the sunlight will be out for the majority of the day. I either need to start covering my shit, bringing it inside, or leaving it in an indoor location.

Though I'll probably leave it out and be religious about covering it. If I grew inside the only thing I could afford at the moment is some CFL's, I prefer natural spectrums over a low-wattage CFL set up anyday.

the plant already got signal a month ago to start to flower..you should bring her in now and 12/12 her to as close as possible to the current light schedule..maybe 5;30 am -5;30 pm ?? but if you want her to get huge this summer and flower in the fall ..let her stay where she is and move to a larger container in a couple weeks...good luck

Do it now and finish her. I was in your spot a year ago, and waited 3 weeks too long...that's when self-pollination began. They don't like this slowly increasing light cycle, and then a switch-back to 12/12.

Hate to revive this but quick question. If I do choose to keep them outside but continue to flower them (by covering them up), how could I cover them easily and with an everyday item? The plant isn't huge.

It's either I cover them or I move them inside an hour early and put them in the dark. Not sure which to do.

If you wanted to flower them why move them outside in the first place when its the time of year to veg plants? If your dead set on leaving it out and covering and uncovering every single day you could probably use black trash bags to cover them and just twist tie it around the main trunk. I say let them reveg and get bigger tho.

Reason being is that I don't have a good indoor setup. I did when I lived on my own, now I'm back with the rents (who HATE the idea of growing, by the way) and really wanna just run one plant outside.

Pictars, not the best but it's obviously got a lot longer to grow. and I know she is small. She's my little girl.

Right now she is getting fed Liquid Karma (as always), some cal mag, FF Big Bloom, Humboldt Honey, and that's it. The soil she is in is compost I made, mixed with some other soil I had laying about, no nutes added to any of the soil though.

Growing in a 1 gallon net pot.

if the days are getting longer it won't finish..it will reveg..unlelss you cover that plant up with a garbage can or something and give her 12-12...if you reveg then get a bigger pot

you should just let that girl reveg and get a bumper crop in October. or at least take some cuttings so you have some known females and get em outside asap to start vegging.

the pot he has it in looks pretty decent sized? if you reveg you will want at least a 8 gal pot but a 10-15 gal would be beast. get a tote from wal mart

the pot he has it in is 1 gallon? pretty tiny....i would not try to flower that plant..maybe get what 3 grams? 5?... reveg and take clones in a month...and put that plant in at least 5 gallons

Eh I don't really care how much smoke I get honestly. I'm just screwing around with a basic outdoor grow. I can't really get it BIG because I am living with my rents again and they don't even like seeing this plant in the backyard.

Until I get the money, time, resources, and find the right spot to grow inside, then I'm just kinda fooling around.

I had this plant tied down initially but untied it after transplant. Should I prune some of the leaves to allow more light to the bud sites? Or tie her down again? and as aforementioned, I will be covering her up. She has a lot of progress as far as hairs are going. The tips on some are turning slight amber, and all the other sites show out a lot of hairs just over night.

that plant is very small and weak..pluck nothing..the less the stress the better and nobody will see that ..no problems there
