Smart Ot Into Larger Smartpot

Hello
I have some clOnes in 1 gallons and theirroots have gone through the fabric on the smartpots and I don't want to rip their roots by taking them out of the pots so I thought that it should work if I place them in my 3 gallon pots with soilless. I know they get air pruned but I think that since they will be in a medium they will continue to grow. Anyone done this?

yup works just fine.dip the whole 1gallon smart pots in water (so the roots start hitting them again), just to get the fabric wet, then plant it in a bigger one.
