Right on man! I'm still working out the kinks in my design. I just got some of those Black Holes Drippers, the little square plastic ones. I grow in smaller 2 gallon pots so I'm thinking they will work pretty good. If not, definitely trying some of those stakes you have.

Here is my newest table, not quite complete. I basically made a small section of roofing using pvc panels. I still have to add the legs and the rain gutter lol. It will drain to waste using a simple pvc manifold.

nice work dirtmcCurd. i have seen people use corrugated roofing for dtw with great results. post up some pics of your progress anytime. i'd love to see your pump, drippers, valves, and completed irrigation system sometime as well.

20150804_185935.jpg they're about six weeks in now. I've been feeding them five year old advanced nutrients sensi grow for the last month. Irrigation system still working flawlessly.

Here's the latest. Finally got the drippers going, have been hand watering till now. The "drippers" are more like sprayers. Not sure if its a pressure issue or if that's how they're supposed to work? Its going to require a cycle timer as it only takes a minute to start getting run-off, which is awfully fast. I kinda liked the drippers slow saturation time-seems like it would saturate better and dissolve any built up salts better.

I will see how these work for now...

that looks nice broski. good work. i'm betting you'll get that dialed in and everything saturated properly. i'm sure you did but make sure you keep a good filter on the suction end of your pump. i put a sediment filter in front of and inline filter and didn't have a single issue with the sprayers. only issue i had was heavy buds flopping over everywhere. that was by far the easiest crop i have ever grown in my life. thanks again mack, your thread was what inspired me to build that system. i have since put similar systems in our greenhouses. i'll post up my results as i go. dirtmCurdt keep the pics comin bro!

here's the next round I'm doing 11 instead of 9 this time so there will be 22 sprayers working. I've got some of the gray dual 6.6 gallon per hour sprayers going in my greenhouse but I honestly like the combination of two green 5 gallon per hours better. the gray ones are leaving dry spots in some of the pots. Bottom pic is blue dream in dwc.20150910_162241.jpg 20150910_162017.jpg

Nice. How do you like your cycle timer? I used to have an analog one but it was a piece of shit. Was not accurate at all, you basically had to guess then check it with a watch. The digital one I have now is much better.

its probably not as good as a digital but it seems to work fairly well. i just dial it in by observing the consumption out of the res with a stopwatch and set it accordingly. she ran like a champ for the duration last round. i'll tell ya what i have been liking is the dyna-gro grow. we'll see how it works in flower, but ive been really happy with what its doing in veg with everything. as soon as i switched to it and thrive alive my green house plants immediately showed improvement.

Yeah I'm using the 7-9-5 myself. Did well in veg and in the process of flipping them now. I am happy with the results so far. I quit the pro tekt and running just the grow @ a 1/2 tsp a gallon. Doesn't get much easier than that.

so you're running just 2.5 ml of grow per gallon and thats its? tap water? what ec is that coming out at?

Also adding calimagic @ 1/4tsp a gallon, or about 100 ppm. Adding the calmag because I use RO water. Then the 7-9-5 @ just a 1/2tsp a gallon. Ends up around 350ish ppm, I think... I have it wrote down but don't have my notepad, I'm at work haha. I go by ppms but ec would be around .5ish. Have been adding pro tekt also but trying it now without it as I don't care for the alkalinity of it. Going to see if my reservoir pH stays more stable without it.

hello all... my first post!
although I am new to any forum I am not new to hydro/dtw

I run a very simple yet effective se up... its a bit costly to put together at first but it pays for it self in nutrient/cost savings

2 dosatron pumps $$
2 30 gallon trash cans
drip line with stakes

no pump except the one in the well
no air stones
no root disease

mix the 2 30gln trash cans with dry salt fert which will provide a total of 4000glns of nutrient

never adjust ph or fertilizers for entire grow
ph remains the same nutrient profile remains the same from sart of flower until harvest

after its et up...aside from raising the light, theres nothing left to do!

1.5 to 2lbs for a 4x4 tray harvest day has roots as white as my teeth
I really dig that. Very very similar to greenhouse fertigation techniques and methods. Sweet. I bet its set it and forget.it.too huh? Is your nutrient solution concentrate injected rite into the water supply to the manifold?

several rounds down with the sprayers and not a single problem to date. I have only been hitting them once a day thus far, next round might try multifeed.20151105_180641.jpg 20151112_165941.jpg 20151110_164155.jpg 20151112_165941.jpg 20151110_164155.jpg
