SCROG - When to start? -- First time Grower

Hello Everyone,

I will start off telling you about my situation.

Started: Solo Cups
week 3: 2 gallons pots
week 6: 15 gallon smart pots final home

I have SCROGCO screens 2x2 - going to be having 4 plants in their 15 gallon smart pot and their own individual screen.

Currently at week 4.
I was thinking I would be okay to grow for another 2-3 weeks roughly in veg in the 2 gallons and then move them into the 15 gallons and put the SCROGs on and start training them through.

My Question:
- is that going to be too late to start doing that at this point - I was told it should be fine and I have attached a picture of my best plant so far.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Jump start your scrog by doing some LST and (or) topping while they are in the 2 gallon pots for a couple or 3 weeks.

I am still learning.
I have read some information on this but don't fully understand.
for example the picture attached - when would i cut off the top of it?

Also for LST is that bending?
Let me know - i am interested in doing this

Yes, LST is bending (Training). There are 100's of pages with detailed info within this forum (advanced cultivation) and check out some YouTube vids on the subject as well... Some good ones out there with step by step instructions for topping, fimming, LST

Sounnds good - I topped them this morning so waiting till 5:05 when they wake up

Topped ... Then LST done.

Another Example of LST training ....

Or use a TOMATO CAGE .......

How long does one wait to do LST after so not to stress out plant too much?

I am going to be honest and admit I am new and say -- i topped them and all and then tied them down.... to learn that basically you do one or the other.
After 3.5-4 hours i untied them and they are now looking good

Lesson learned - posted so others could learn from my mistake
