Questiom if you are transplanting delicate seedlings (5 nodes) from solo cups into permanent 5 gallon pots. Is it safe to plant such small pants, that havent had nutrients, into amended soil (happy frog/perlite mix)? Or should the initial transplant be into unamended soil, and then I top dress in a couple more weeks? Gaia Green calls for a amended soil mix of 70/30 at 3 Tbsp per gallon or 15 tablespoons total for a 5 gallon pot. I have used the top dressing recipe before for more developed plants to great results. My only concern is nuking such tiny seedlings with the amended soil dosage which seems to be full strength. However, I dont want any chance of running into deficiencies early by not feeding plants. I have heard that Happy frog has everything plants need for 30 days, and these seedling will be about 2-3 weeks old. Please share your experience with Gaia Green and if I should cut down the recipe, or stick with manufacturers suggested dosage.
