So i had intended to follow the dirrections on the back of the Gravity bottle,[not to mention RIU Elite] And supplement my system with molasses. For those that haven't seen my setup, https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/58277-so-i-built-growdrobe-pics.html

But now i have heard that i can't run molasses in an aero system! I Am Bummed to say the least. Does anyone think i could get away with it? I swear to god soil is beginning to look better and better. Growing tomatoes in hydro was so easy....but since i have started with the herbage, nothing but problems. My setup is at another friends house, he doesn't know shit and even he knowns my shit don't look so swift. Please help
Thanks

You can not use molasses in an aero setup. I posted a post while back showing what will happen. Your system will turn to goo and foam and clog your misters and pumps. You can use gravity and things like sugar daddy or sweet or sweet leaf which are derived from molasses but have the thick gunk removed and do the exact same thing.DO NOT USE MOLASSES.No one had tried it so me being the guy I am I took one for the team as the resident aero grower and I lost 6 plants and had to replace all my lines and misters

Filthy is right. DWC w/ airstones is the only way in hydro for molasses without gunking up your set up.

There's treachery afoot
What about foilar feeding?????? I would think you could mix and spray on the leaves. I think I read this somewhere...but cannot remember where.

Foliar feed??? Sounds tempting but i don't really wanna smoke molasses do I?
Maybe foliar feed and early bloom and then just go back to straight soda water for the last week or two??? This would remove/wash the molasses away i would guess. Can anyone confirm foliar feeding molasses, i have a cab grow at a buddys house. Already gotta split,we would be bummed to lose the plants. I did actually notice alot of foaming a few days after i added a 1/2 dose of gravity, i also notice the air line to the stones in the res was unhooked, fixxed that and the next day no more foam. Related???

I wouldnt foilar feed it will build up on leaves and prevent transpiartion and basically choke the plant. Carbo load can be used as long as its disolved first and you use a good pump filter as it clumps

Before anyone works too much harder on this, why don't you go looking on Ye Olde Google for research papers from the botanical or agricultural science colleges of any good university which indicate that molasses or sugars of any sort are of any benefit in growing vascular plants?

I'll warn you, this is a mug's errand. You'll find out why when doing the search.
