S.O.G. Attempt

Lights out for the next 3 days after today. Shes at Day 65. Trichome ratio is looking good. It seems the l.e.d. knocked a week off of flower compared to the HPS. I've read that happens with l.e.d.s my goal was to chop at Day 75. Last run under the hps I chopped at day 73 and told myself I wolf go a little longer next run but that didn't happen. P.p.m.'s are below 100. Does anyone do the 3 days of darkness before chopping?

Transplanted 70 Mimosa clones and 20 Croticla Kush clones into the flood table. Trying to go with less cubes that are spaced out a little. I had enough clones to fill the table but when I adjusted the p.h. I forgot to turn the misters back on until the next day. Live and learn. The critical are in their to see how they will do in the s.o.g. setting which is what I planned for them from the beginning. I have 8 phenos I'm running of the C.K. All under a hlg600. Transplanted in 10/25. Once roots show in a coype days I'll flip immediately. No veg.

I love rockwool. Was going to do flood and drain in sog with these but I had started new mothers and couldn’t get enough clones for a sog run so threw 12 with a table with top feed and a 20day veg. Just flipped 4 days ago.

Looking forward to watching a true sog grow

The heart of the s.o.g. is having enough moms. Took me a little to have enough for 100 + cuttings. I'm trying to grow some bushy ones out now. Do you have a res under the table?

Yeah I’m still taking clones just to add more moms. How many moms you have to sustain 100 clones per run?

When I needed 200 cuttings (big 6 inch tops) every 20 days, 5 big moms in DWC worked for me.
I just took clones as moms a month ago and put them in dwc buckets. Been a while but when I did run dwc the plants would explode in that setup compared to soil.

Yep, DWC is all or nothing. It is either the absolute best or you get pythium and it sucks ass. Some strains are more resistant to pythium and are thus easier to cultivate in DWC. DWC is however not particularly suited to a SOG. Better for large plants and a SCROG

I used to take plants from my veg room where they were in 5 gallon bucket sites and moved them to flowering room with large totes and RDWC under the trellis rig (5 foot tall). The plants would be 4 - 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide when taken from veg, moved on a rolling cart and transferred to the totes. I would slide the trellis down to press them out wide and low, veg for 2 or 3 days then flip. Yields were amazing. One plant per light with extra side lighting.
