S.O.G. Attempt

Gg4 is not a good sog strain.
U want something that favors it's main(apex) cola. Hybrids that stretch with minimal lateral branching.
The idea of a sog is to have sea of fat colas.
Gotta lollipop early, super crop ..it's an art
Takes alot of dialing in.

I lesrlea from Al b. Fuct on this site years n years ago.

Can maybe Google al b. Fuct rollitup.org n see if his dog thread comes up. It's basically a book on sog, albeit it's outdated
I've read his "harvest every 2 weeks" thread a couple times lol. Good info. I have a pack of Critical Kush specifically for an s.o.g. run in my 5x5 but first I have to go through the whole process of popping the seeds and all that other fun stuff. I'll run them with no topping and take clones and than go from there when j decide which to keep. My goal is to have one 4x4 tent running all Mimosa another 4x4 running either Tropicanna Cookies, Tropaya or Straw-Picanna all by Oni seeds and all are regular seeds so another time consuming process. At least the Critical pack is a fem pack. So 3 tents running 3 diff strains. I have a Ghost Train Haze pheno I kept from a pack of 10. Had 7 females out of that pack. The 1 I kept was potent and had that old school dank smell I love and miss. But my people all pointed out that it had no taste compared to the Mimosa. That's what's changed my idea of what to grow and keep. They want flavors so I have to take that into consideration. I'm old school but I better get with the times with ther Terp stuff.

I'm in a no grow state so finding clones had been impossible. Between the law and paranoia on who to trust I just settle with seed packs j til the day comes. I lose a lot of time with the seed process ad picking a pheno

Running seeds is the best in my opinion.

I really like growing in amended Coco (coco coco) above all else.
Cocoloco
Floranova with organic amendments.
Hard to go wrong. Drain to waste, low ppm feeds, around 600 ppm

Get amazing results, doesn't cost a ton and hard to fuck up.

I hear ya. You can get breeders cuts of some genetics online and have them shipped to you in a no grow state. They aren't cheap but it saves you having to shotgun a pack of beans to pick a winner to make a mother out of.

My buddy recently got breeders cuts from these guys: https://westcoastconnoisseurs.com/product/in-house-genetics-divine-gelato/

Again, not cheap but amazing quality genetics. I can't wait till my buddy hands off a cut to me, that Divine Gelato is gonna be amazing.

Well I guess they ran out of the Divine Gelato, it was 900 bucks anyways lol, they had a lot of other ones like burnt Toast and such.. Check their clones section.

Hello all. This will be my first post ever. I took 72 cuts from a few moms and put them into the cloner with some clonex on their roots and great white mixed in with the tap water on April 4th. On April 18th 70 showed roots. On April 22nd I soaked the rockwool cubes in 1/4 strength nutes. On April 24th I transplanted 68 clones into into grodan plugs and into the 4x4x4 rockwool cubes. On May 15th they were flipped to Flower. I pulled 12 and transplanted sta led them onto 6x6x6 Rockwool for another grow. I'll also be pulling the runts tonight. I'll also be pulling the runts tonight. Should end up with roughly 50+/- clones in the end. I am still fairly new to growing and this will be my 1st sea of green grow.

Strain- Mimosa (Purple Punch x clementine) by Symbiotic Genetics

Grow Space- 4x4 Tent with a 3x3 flood table and 17 Gallon Resovoir

Lights- Air Cooled 600mhs and 600hps (currently looking for a l.e.d. for a 3x3)

Medium- 4x4 Rockwool

Nutrients- G.H. Floraseries, Calmag, Florabloom, Photosynthesis Plus and some great white every few waterings.
MASSIVE MON!!!

Only if it is your only option. the phenotypical drift even with good breeders is just too much to run a tray that yields efficiently.
Sometimes, you have no option but to do this at least once to find a mother that has the correct shape, yield and terp profile, so you can clone her and make a uniform table.

Om sure I wont get this s.o.g style down packed for a couple of runs. Just trying to learn what I can as I grow. I remember almost stopping about 2 years ago. Thought it would be easy but it's a life long lesson. Learning new stuff everyday and loving it. Glad I never threw the towel in. I just put 144 clones into the cloner. Hopefully they all root and I'll have them in my 4x4 tray by the end of next week

I'm def looking for yield. I grew some Ghost Train Haze and this Mimosa. The haze looked normal and had the old school dank smell but for some reason everybody went ape ahit over the Mimosa. The smell, bag appeal and taste. Guess I'm old school. So now I'm pumping out the Minosa. It just lacks yield. Everything else is great. Just popped some Critical Kush from Barneys. I've read it sa good s.o.g. strain. If I can find a dank, potent mother that yields I'll be happy. I have some Tropicanna Cookies f2 I'm going to pop next month. Trying to set up a 3 week rotation with 3 flowering tables and 1 veg tent. Fed the girls yesterday before work. R.O. water with Floraflex nutrients, calmag, liquid kool bloom, photosynthesis plus and a little mammoth that I got for free. P.h. 5.8 and the p.p.m's were at 980

I think if you are new you should shoot for about 24 to 25 plants per square meter, (3x3).

I don't think so, You don't really train them, just put up a net and let them fight for the light.
I think the extra elbow room is going to give you the best yield per plant compromise and make a few easier to trim, larger nugs.

I'm still dialling it in, but it is hands-down the largest yielding system if you want to run short cycles.

I agree. Great thread OP. I’m late to the party but caught up with the reading now. I hope it’s col if I lurk. In no grow states there aren’t autos or fem seeds, it’s all gamble. Again, good job with this thread.
I live in a no grow state... I still get autos and fems... That's the beauty of the internet...
