Root Rot after 1 day in top fed DWC!

Hello fellow growers,

First time hydro grower here. I noticed my plant drooping so I uncovered some hydroton and found root rot slime all around the rapid rooter. It's been only 1 day since putting her into the top fed DWC! My top feed system is constant flow through a 3/8" (inside diameter) hose with small holes in it around the plant. They are in a greenhouse which maxed out at 95F yesterday because it hasn't been finished yet. That will be fixed soon with better ventilation.

How do I fix this? Any tips and advice please!

2 problems:
95F (which you are fixing)
the drip ring could be farther away from seedling. and i like uncovering the rapid rooter. seems like if the top is dry, the bottom can be wet without problems

^^^ agreed.
I always hand water my starts till they drop roots through the netlid.
I suspect that the hi temps in conjunction with constant moisture are your issues.
Get the temps under control and hand water for now.

If the starter cube stays wet RR will follow. Feed cycles should be timed- not 24/7. Probably takes no more than one minute on to soak the starter cube
