Root Growth Question In A 7 gal Smart Pot

So i have been vegging these moms for a few months and i would like to flower them. They are in one liter pots. (I flower with 650 watt hps. I use technoflora recipe for success)

Here's my question: how much longer should i veg them to take advantage of the root space if i transplant now into 7 gal smart pot?

Will the plants fill out the 7 gal pot during flower if i flower now? or will i need to veg longer?

1 liter pots to 7 gallon pots. I want the space to be utilized. Last thing i want is to transplant, flower and then 8 weeks later pull the plant and notice only half the root space was utilized.

are you asking if the roots will spread through the entire 7 gallon pot?
I am a noobie but i am pretty sure they will, and i (think) i heard that you shouldn't transplant near flowering, so ya veg for a bit longer after putting in the 7 gal pot.

Though i am pretty damn new to this, so i would probably wait for a better answer.

I kno I kno.. This is an old ass thread.. But what's the answer to his question.. ?!?? This coming up saturday will be 4 weeks since I started germinating my seed's & on Christmas Night I transplanted into 1 gallon containers how long do I or can I veg in 1 gallon containers & how long do I veg for when I transplant into 7gallon containers.. ?!?? Thanks

I like to wait 2 weeks after I transplant allowing the roots to use most of the space in the container.. One you put a plant into flower, root growth slows down. In my experience, I once flowered the day of transplant, and ended up with a plant that produced little bud even under a 600w HPS. It pays to veg a couple weeks after your final transplant!
