I don't like the changes myself - also noticed it's now harder to tell between the top of a board, and the new threads, as well as one post from the next, in a thread.

the new skins are cool but i still cant get rid of the sticky threads. thats sucks to make us read the same 5 noob questions every time and it make all the new threads appear under it in the middle of the page. how can i get rid of the stickys

Yeah, my grow journal has been impossible to track. Previously I had under 200 views and was getting replies every day. I asked about how to thin out some of my babies, I have since gotten almost 200 views with no reply on HOW TO TRIM MY GROW. Surely someone has done this before but either no one is writing back or they can't find my post. WTF?

why lose the stickys when they are FULL of almost every answer to anyones questions that are asked on here?? truth is most people are too lazy to read them to look for their answers...

and secondly, why does the last 5 post thing matter?? if its a thread your really interested in, subscribe to it... or... if its that profound of a thread the name should stick out to you and you can look for it....

sorry dude i know your a high roller but i couldnt agree less. i dont need to read any topic on those stickys at all and it sucks to see the same noob shit every time, especially when it makes the new stuff in the middle of all the shit. thats bogus noobs should read it and we should be able to minus it if "where to get our shit" and "whats lighting" is not our problem anymore. no subscribe bull shit i think we all like convinience of having our latest posts there for us to easily get

the stickys are for newbies... that know nothing.. who want to do some reading and research.. although i think there is a good majority of us that dont use them.. they still have their place.. every piece of viable knowledge here that pertains to growing is/could be the answers to someones problem.. if a user wants to get an answer without having to post a question, wait for responses, and hopefully not have to read a bunch of bullshit and fighting, then the stickys are a great place to go and read.. sorry you dont like them and find them useless.. but there is someone out there reading them right now getting some good info from them...

and as i said.. if you are so interested in your last posts, subscribe to the thread.. then you'll always know when someone posts in the thread.. even after it would be out of your "last 5 posts" list...

Stickys are great i think, no need for them to go.
dude they have been the same forever. you should be able to minus it so new posts dont appear in the middle of the page. if you dont know about the hydro store or what light to get then sorry but i dont want to have these topics in my face every day ever thats stupid man. noobs should read it and we should be able to minus it
i dont have time for all the tech shit and subscribing the last 5 were right there...and if i care about my older shit ill search for it. whats the point of taking it away?

the stickys arent going anywhere... they will always be there to provide answers for new members that dont want to ask questions that have threads with the answers in them...

and subscribing takes 2 clicks... its not "tech shit".. its fuckin easy shit is what it is...

if you can search for an older thread than one you just posted in should be ultra easy to find...

taking it away was to protect the site from being hacked... thats why they took it away...

the poll says it all really,
i dnt really mind the stickys but the last 5 threads was good bcos say
if i post then i dont use my computer for a day or two and the thread has fallen down the list and maybe i cant really remeber the name of it and i gave advice or answered someones question then someone reposts after me with a better way to do it, then i can learn from this to and who likes searchin for ages for things.

as for the site being free, not really is it, the advertisers pay for us all, if ppl like us didnt visit the free site then the advertisers woundnt advertise and Mr. rollitup would be stackin shelves. the more hits the site gets the more they can demand in advert fees, if ppl feel the site is not good then they will go elsewere, i really like this site myself but some times id just come on here check my rollitup for any changes in the threads if there was then id read them if not im gone.

if we lost the 5 last posts feature so the site couldnt be hacked then thats fair cop really, but is there no place on this site we can read on the updates like wats been taken away and why and wats been added for our surfing delights.

maybe this feature could be back

the stickys keep most of the clutter to a minmum if they go away youd be reading like 2000 more newb questions about the same questions all you have to do is scroll down and has anyone checked options on thier control panel and rite there with sampson subscribe to shit you can allways delete subscribtions later and honestly im glad the site isnt keeping track of thousands of posts loads quicker with the recent arrest its better not having that data logged

I'm ok with the stickies, because even veteran growers lose sight of some of the basics. They are like guides and troubleshooting grids. And it's also a good veg.

But I do miss my RIU latest posts function. Oh well.
