I don't like to give money to politicians. But I vocally support Biden, and Harris, and Buttigieg on that list. I like Warren a lot in 2008sih, she had a lot of good insights into debt, but has ran too negative for my tastes the last couple years. I will still happily vote for her though if she is able to win.

China bought treasuries, they can't 'call in their debt' they are all long term investments sold on the open market. The best they could hope to do is dump a lot on the market for a loss, which might lower interest rates on the treasury bonds/bills a bit, but the Fed/Pensions have far more than China and can fix the market easier than China can hurt it.ABT! Also just so you know, if in some universe that doesn't exist and China was ok with burning billions of dollars in the name of trying to skew our bond market, they would be paid in American dollars, so we would still benefit as they spent those dollars.

I probably won't be voting at all if it's Warren or Sanders. Absentee voting for someone I can't stand would be too much effort, especially considering that California is going blue pretty much no matter what.

When it gets right down to it, the majority of elected officials in DC seem pretty old.
Mitch McConnell looks like he's already full of embalming fluid and Trump may have died 2 yrs. ago, replaced by a body double. It's not like he'd have to know much.

Don't you guys have a write-in candidate slot? Write in who you want even if they aren't on the ticket or say none of the above.
As minuscule a statement as it is it still says something and if enough do that then it can become an issue.
It's incredulous to me that citizens of any country don't make it a major priority to get their asses to the polls to vote on any election that can have influence on their lives and your next one may determine whether the US is considered TopDog or just a pretender.

I am thinking the republicans go lame this election to guarantee the democrats guarantee a win. Then they promote Bernie so when this shit show goes under they can blame both a socialist and a democrat and get two birds with one stone. They flip a coin or draw straws to set up the next winner then put on a great show to make all the drones think it's something real. Entertaining to the unwashed masses but so transparent to anyone with an IQ larger than their waist-lines!

Its the primary. Vote for who you want in the primary.
General election is a different story. The EC isn't going away in 2010. States like mine and CA are pretty safe from ever putting Trump in the win column. Choosing not to vote in a safe state is understandable. won't not vote though. Won't vote for a hopeless cause of a candidate either. Too many people have given everything they have for our right to vote for me to not vote.
For me, in 2020 in the fall, I'll vote Democrat because it's easy to do so. Absentee ballot while on travel is a different matter though. I can see how going through the mechanics of getting the ballot to vote in a state where Biden has the lock for it's EC votes, the symbolic act might not be worth the effort.

I think the attitude of most sensible and patriotic Americans will be, "I don't care if they got horns and a tail, if they are against Trump I'm voting for them". Socialism be damned, better the Devil you don't know in this case, polls say either Sanders or Warren could beat Trump easily. The Democratic nominee will be whoever can beat Trump and there are a few to choose from. Remember Donald ain't done fucking up yet and impeachment inquiries or a tanking economy will probably drive him off the deep end and into even stranger territory, also there's the war he's gonna start...
I figure Donald is gonna turn some red states blue in farm country. Soybean farmers are already screwed, corn farmers just got corn holed, fruit is rotting on the trees and produce in the fields because of a labor shortage. Food prices are gonna go up this fall along with everything imported from China, citizens, farmers and corporations are getting fucked.
