Riot Seeds a Scam?

So, I think Riot may be a scam. They first off claim to have made seeds for Blue Dream, a clone-only strain. They don't specify it's genetics, claiming it comes from "Some sort of DJ Short Blueberry" and "Believed to be crossed" with SSH. And on top of that, they double up pictures on some of their strains. On top of that, they only take cash or money orders (no CCs) and seem more interested in hiring attractive women than making good seeds.

Here are the two pics side by side. Are we to believe that Blue Crush looks EXACTLY LIKE it's Blue Dream mother?

Anyone ever try Riot seeds? If so, any luck?

I did not see these attractive women you speak of, im already disapointed.
If all they accept are those two forms of payment, dont do, its just not smart.
Use something thats known like nirvana or somethin.

I don't plan on ordering from them, just trying to get the word out and see if anybody does have an experience to share.

And they don't have the girls on their site, but if you google them, the first result you get is an announcement about how they want "The best looking ladies" to work with them, and apparently they plan to pay them with "Free gear from Riot Seeds". Because if I was a hot chick, I would want my modeling pay to come in t-shirt form.

With all the BS in the MJ world you do have to be careful. Riot Seeds is a new enterprise with several very experienced breeders contributing. The reason the same picture is present in duplicate on some of the strains is that they are so new that good pictures at maturity are not available yet. Riot is simply showing the pictures of parent plants untill excellent pics of the new strains are available.

For the little it is worth I am running 3 riot strains right now and they look like fire 4 weeks into flower.

The question about blue dream is a good one. The clone only version is a particularly good pheno of SSH x DJ shorts blueberry. I am not sure if Riot went back and did the same cross selecting out the best phenos to stabilize by backcrossing, did an s1 or a combination of both.

I would imagine you could buy a true Blue Dream clone and use colloidal silver to make feminized seeds, as long as you pollinate a different BD clone. But BD is relatively new and it seems somewhat soon to have regular seeds available. I'm sure Riot is producing good seeds, but I'm suspicious they may be embellishing the truth.

The mob is easily manipulated my friends. Wake up!!! Many of the top breeders do not do their own work. They subcontract to more modest and hard working folks. These are the same idiots that are screaming foul loudest about a picture or 3 of parent plants being used by Riot when they take primary credit for strains someone else bred. Give me a break.

This is not a rare occurance. It happens more often than not. A majority of the high profile breeders are simply marketing guys. They sub out the selection of plants for "new strains" most of which are rehashes of what is already out there. In fact many are created by crossing clone only strains to old standards that have good yields like skunk #1 or Big Bud. Nothing original or innovative about these strains. Then these so called breeders attack anyone who does not have the connections and/or etiquette to appear legit and shoot them down. Do they want new good breeders competing with their stuff? Hell no.

Worse they spam the major mj websites like this one with a bit of truth like breeder x using someone elses pics with a total load of lies. It is very hard to get going in this business so they do everything they can to stop new innovative breeders from getting a foot in the door by any means they can muster. Makes me sick. Stoners will hear the rumors and believe them is they come from a company or rep that is associated with a cannibus cup winning strain or 2. These are the same guys who do not do any of there own gruntwork and know squat about genetics of MJ.

Most of this rant will fall on deaf ears. For those of you who get it do your own research, grow a pack from a breeder and make your own conclusions. Stop being manipulated by the bussiness hacks that currently dominate the commercial bean bussiness

If you look around the boards all you see is people bashing Matt Riot. All I ever read is how he went around begging for genetics for med patients then turns around and uses them for his seed company, stealing pics for the descriptions of his strains, and not growing any of his crosses out before he sells them(the reason he uses other people's pics). If you read his posts he comes off like a major dick.

If this a guy that goes be Mattew Riot I would save my money.I remember Matt Riot from potpimp forum and he had a thread titled "Matt Riots 100 plant grow" and those 100 plants looked like shit.He bragged about it being his first grow. That was maybe a year ago.If you want to get seeds that were bred by grower with no experiance whatsoever go ahead knock yourself out!

Calm down. I just asked if anyone has any experience with Riot Seeds. I didn't need this whole diatribe about marijuana's commercialization by some unnamed boogie-men.

I'm not saying they don't have good genetics, I just feel like I'm being deceived. Blue Dream is clone-only, you'd have to spend a LONG time selectively breeding to produce seeds, and even then you're not guaranteed to get a strain uniform to that particular clone. And using the exact same picture to advertise two different strains isn't helping their case for me. If the plants you have are great, there's nothing wrong with that. But BD is one of my all-time favorite strains, and I don't want to be disappointed when my plant doesn't look like the BD I've smoked and seen growing before.

Feminized seeds using colloidal silver are a possibility, but they never mention how the seeds were produced. They merely mention a vague genetic backstory for the strain. And not only that, Matt Riot didn't invent Blue Dream, so he's kind of profiteering from somebody else's creation without giving proper credit.

Just my opinion, take it or leave it. And I say with no amount of sarcasm or skepticism that I'd like to see some pics of your grow. I'd like to give Riot a chance, but they've made an awkward first impression, so pics of quality plants from a satisfied customer would definitely help their case.

Ever since i saw he crossed a 29 dollar strain chocolate rain to his og kush and is charging 160 i never looked back..lmao..I would never buy from him just like i wont buy from dr.greenthumb..So many ripoffs in this business whether its seeds scam or price scamming i wont fall victim to either..
