ok so from what i understand you want to use about 1/4oz of trim/shake per cube of butter (4 cubes = 1lb of butter).
add cube of butter to stove top pot...melt butter...add trimmings...
how much water should be added to the mix (1/4oz trim/shake, 1/4oz butter)?
i must add water as even with my stove on the LOWEST setting it'll burn/boil the butter no matter how much i stir...i need water to slow down/prevent the boiling/burning of the trim/butter.
after it simmers on low for 8-12 hrs i just pour it all into a tupperware container and put it in the fridge? or freezer? then i just separate the butter from the ice/trimmings?
right or wrong?
someone help as i failed last time. thanks
