Question about transplanting.

Okay, so i wanna move my plants out of their shared pot, and into their own 5 gallon pots.

If say, a few roots were to snap in the process of moving them, would the remaining roots still allow it to recover and go back to regular health?, or is breaking a root like breaking a bone for plants?

all depends on how much roots you broke.. but if your going to veg it for awhile longer then you should be ok. it will grow more stronger.. just wait for new growth before any other changes

If you are separating 2 plants that were grown in the same pot, use a sharp knife and cut threw the root system between the plants as equal as possible. Do not try to tear them apart, then you definitely cause extensive root damage. Cutting the roots, though not ideal, will greatly reduce the shock that is inevitable. Peace.

Welll....there's 5 in this one 6-8gal ( not sure of the size but its pretty big ) they're each about half a foot tall, maybe a little taller.

I just pruned them, and im waiting till they recover a bit from that before doing anything.

I just wanna make sure that im not gonna completely kill them if a few roots get fucked up along the process of me digging them out.

You fucked up.

If you and a friend got on each end of a fine toothed band saw blade, you could probably cut the thing into the necessary chunks that you will need.

Since you can clone from a stem with no roots at all, it kind of assures you that some root damage won't kill your plants. In fact many growers cut through their roots when transplanting to encourage spreading. I do this with a lot of my garden crops that are transplant able. As Jimdamick said, cut through them with a sharp knife to do a little damage as possible. They may be stunted for a little while, but they'll survive.

Prodigal wtf are you talking about? If you dont have anything productive or useful to contribute, then dont bother posting. I came here for help and information, not for a twat to just ramble.
