so stress causes feminized seeds to turn hermie , well they might not but they can.
so i've read everywere but it dosent say at where the stress causes hermies .
can stress happen at vegging/flowering or both to cause hermies.
because my feminized seeds have been though quite a bit (my first grow) and im worried they will end up hermies there about 5 weeks into vegging

Any plant, feminised or not, can develop stress induced hermaphroditism. Stress can happen at any stage of growth; heat, under/over watering, etc.. I would suggest you sit back, fire one up or take a chill pill. Don't go looking for problems, cuz believe me, there is lots of shit that can go wrong besides hermies. So Martin, I sincerely wish you, Good luck & good grow.......BB

My plants took a lot of heat stress over a long weekend with highs reaching 100, I soon sorted this problem and kept it under control , but I think I then overwatered, being a noob and transplanted the soil from acid plants which was too acidic to mulitpurpose , what's the chances of stress causing hermie? Thanks

...stress can cause hermies during veg (usually heat related)....and during bloom (usually heat or light leaks)
as I just said my plants under took a long weeknd of 100 degress temps , in the first week or two of vegging surprised they didn't die , I might have overwaterd them because I was scared to let they dry out , what are the chances of getting hermies ?

sorry to jump in on your thread but can i ask - mine also have been stressed in veg and im day 15 flowering, i have one with grapes and white hairs so i think its hermie. but i have 2 other girls in the same room - does the hermie need to be pulled or grown elsewhere?

my 2nd grow but first time was outdoor so first time indoor and never had a hermie before... dont know what it means in the terms of growing ( i know it means male/female)...

Hermie's just aren't that common, don't worry yourself too much about it. Plants can take a good measure of abuse and turn out beautifully.

i agree with mouse on this .. you will be suprised at what type of abuse a plant can take and keep on ticking fine.. its not called weed for nothing.. and even though i have yet to have a hermie, i think that whatever stress that they are put through has to last for a little bit of time before it really effects the plant enough to cause it to go hermie on yah.. if one or two nights of excessive heat caused a plant to hermie, i am sure we would be reading much more about hermies than what we do..
i also agree that even though you did have a problem, and you've now corrected, i wouldn't stress over it too much.. your first grow is like your first kid.. everytime he falls down or bumps his head, your rushing em to the hospital, and by the second or third ones, you put a band aid on it and send em back out to play, lol..
g/l with the grow, and just chill out some, i'm sure that your plants will turn out fine ...
