no, just always feed them less in flowering. Their metabolism is very fast when you feed them daily. For me, in flowering, feeding them daily is perfect for the plants. Try it... You may like it...
Wow that’s insane. What is the ratio in which you dilute it?

Also I just read the part about discouraging the Silicate, ful-humix, etc. and just plain water. Unfortunately I read it after I just watered her with Lactobacillus, ful-humix, and Soil Blast which is just bacilli and trichoderma. The tips have burnt a little, so I guess it’s wise to cut back from everything. I also haven’t fed her again with Epsom Salt, next watering i’ll do it. Would that burn her?

Btw, I contacted Horticulure Lighting Group (HLG) about getting another 3K plug-n-play QB Because amazon was out. The person who responded said he recommends 4K ran at a lower intensity. He then said growers with 3K have been experiencing Iron deficiency, same as me. Then he said 3K is usually recommended for veg and flower, and on the amazon site it says for veg and flower. So I contacted him and asked if I could send it back and pay trade in for a 4K and purchase an extra one. Have you ever heard of that happening? 3K causing iron deficiency in flower?

Flowering Day 23, Week 4 Day 3

Hey Folks,

Buds are starting to fill out and look frosty, however there is not scent. Even if I put my nose up to the bud I can’t smell anything. I’m still having some issues with my plant. It might be pH, but everything I use is organic, and I make compost teas and have living compost in my soil. Those microbes should fix the pH, am I correct? I’ve read and heard organic growers don’t need to worry about pH Up or Down. If I’m wrong please let me know and tell me how to fix it. Also I contacted HLG about getting another 3K 65 HLG, and he said the 3K has been giving growers iron deficiencies in flower. The board is recommended for Veg and Fruit. The leaves have gotten greener but they’re too light. I’m hoping to get this solved. Any suggestions?

Never heard of 3000k qb causing iron def. I'm quite new to them. Think mine is 3500k or 3000k, so will be interesting.

The plant looks ok... Why don't you just get a soil ph test kit?

Flowering Week 4 Day 25

Hey folks,

I have begun to implement some changes after doing more research on the QB’s and looking into these various deficiencies. I decided to lower my board just about 12,” because it was not getting enough light at 20-22.” I also took @Fevs. advice and gave her Epsom salt dissolved in one liter of water rather than the half gallon I was giving her. Which turned out that I was giving too much water. Btw, is overwatering giving too much water or too frequently? I always thought it was too frequently, am I wrong? It’s kind of funny/interesting because when looking into iron deficiency a few of the causes were the same issues I have been dealing with: not sufficient light, overwatering, and pH. I’m also going to either get one more HLG 65 or just replace it with a 90 watt. What would y’all suggest? I have definitely learned quite a bit in this grow and am still learning. Thanks to everyone who has helped a long the way. I won’t post any more photos until Monday. The buds are looking good and conical too. It’ll be nice to get through these issues, but who am I kidding, there’ll be a lot more after that

Flowering Day 28 Week 5 Day 1

We’re almost halfway there and this grow has given me a run for my money. It’s been about 4 weeks since I have given macronutrients, and if it’s not water it’s :full-humix, Aloe Vera, and Silicate, all three items from Build A Soil (they carry Ful-Humix, but it’s not their brand). Yet my leaves are increasingly getting yellow. Good news is, is that since I lowered my lights my plant has grown quite a bit, sometimes 1/2in a day. I’m sending my light back and getting a 4K 65HL, the customer service person, which the company is small so I’m guessing it’s not some joe-blow, said that would be enough. Everything is still pointing to Iron deficiency and as odd as it sounds, in the email he said people were having Iron deficiency in flowering with the 3K. I’ll be getting the 4K this Wednesday so we’ll see how that works out. I also soaked a few beans from Dirt Farmer, Strain is called Motörhead, so I can’t wait the second round. Have a good one folks

Day 37 Week 6

The 4K 120 HLG QB arrived on Wednesday and since then the leaves have regained their color and the colas have grown quite a bit. As soon as I turned it on I noticed it was way brighter than the original one I got (I think the board was defective?) . It stopped stretching but it’s throwing out quite a bit of pistols. The calyxs’ are long and slender and are turning purple along with the leaves. If you look at the mystery strain from a distance it has a blue hue to it.

I believe that it’s a little over halfway done, at least that’s my amateur guess. It definitely doesn’t have two weeks, maybe three? There is still no fragrance but the stems smell like ginger, has anyone ever gotten that terpine before? I also smelt some grapes but that could be the color deceiving me. The aroma will definitely change but to what???

So I was able to get some fresh worms castings straight from the farm including the worms and springtails and other beneficial insects. So I started a 3gal soil cooking, including those worm castings, vermisoil, added:azomite, greensand, crab shell meal, Alfalfa. I’m going to let that cook until it’s ready to be transplanted in at least a month. In (2) one gallon fabric pots I have said worm castings and bugs, along with crimson clover seeds that I planted. I had one Motörhead sprout and is doing really well, but the other one didn’t make out of the soil. So I planted a new one and off we go.

Here in the next few weeks I’m going to buy a t5 light and start a clone Veg area. I’m not going for quantity but I would like to speed it up a little. Anyways enjoy the photos

Week 7 Day 45

She’s continuing to stack and push out stigmas, a little more than a quarter of the stigmas are turning red. The colas are gaining width but I wouldn’t go as far as saying they’re swelling. Who knows this could finish up quick or later. A lot of the calyxs are dark purple and the buds are beginning to have a cat piss/musty smell. Leaves are continuing to fade and i’ve Had some calcium deficiency show up.

Last night I gave her a sprouted seed tea along with aloe Vera, humic acid, LaB, and 1ml of FFJ. Today I can tell it’s made a difference, as well in my two MH seedlings. Both were given the SST with Aloe Vera. The MH1 is about 9 days old and already growing it’s 3rd node. The MH2 is stretching rather than putting leaves out.

So I cut down the clones and let them dry for a day. Upon grinding one of the buds it had a nice tropical smell it it, other than the grassy smell. These were prematurely cut of course, so the high settled right behind my eyes and I got mentally high. Not bad for a little clone that got 10-12 inches lower than the preferred height of light.

Now that I think of it, I really don’t want that grassy, hay smell and taste. Any recommendations for drying and curing? I have read to let the buds dry at 50%rh for about a week? The grassy hay smell is due to too rapid drying?

Anywho here are the gals

What kind of media are you using in the big plant that's flowering? Looks like it has small sticks n stuff in it. And I see zero perlite or anything to help with drainage. If you have nothing but soil in it. It packs down tight with every watering. Even though you're in a fabric pot. The dirt gets super hard. And holds water longer than it should. Try mixing perlite, vermiculite, or hydroton pebbles to help with drainage.

Hey thank you for commenting. You do see sticks, that’s mulch on top, underneath that is worm castings and compost, below that is the soil which has perlite and hydroton in it. The base soil is Vermisoil and black gold I added perlite and I think vermiculite, on top of the perlite and hydroton that is already in both of those mixes. The soil didn’t get hard rather constricted and tight, by the amount of roots. I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. I always thought it was a good thing because there is a ton of roots in the soil.

However I am getting these spots on leaves that are from bugs

I have found they dye that stuff. And it will screw up your ph of your soil. The dye leeches out when you water. And even more when you feed. I wouldn't use it. You can use all perlite on top. I've seen some use hay/straw. Or even clovers. They grow small grassy plants on the top. I wouldn't use mulch.

That may be the cause of everything. That mulch dye can/will cause nute lock out. At least when i first started years ago I did the samething. And it's no bueno

Well I just put it on like a few days ago. I had hay before that and it was grown with roundup ready. It’s like two years old and hasn’t decayed. Yikes! I’m going to be ordering organic barley hay. I also don’t believe the mulch has been dyed. I can call and check. I had a couple of cannabis websites recommend mulch. Really and truly this grow has just been pretty tough. I have learned quite a bit, but I’m hoping to at least get some bud from it

Its def been dyed. That's why it's so dark. They dye it red, brown, black, all kinds of colors. But either way it will mess with your ph. If you dont believe me take a glass of water. Check the ph. Then take the same glass of water and put some mulch in it. Let it soak for 5 mins. Strain it. Check ph. If it's different its dyed.

No I have nvr had spidermites knock on wood. But I also use preventive measures though. I make a neem oil mixture. Not only spray my tents walls n floors. Inside and out after a run when i clean it. But my tents are in a cellar like. Concrete floor and red brick walls. I spray my mixture on the floor and walls of it as well. Idk just seems to work. I've nvr had any bug problem. Except one time from a bag of ffof soil. But other than that I've been lucky.
