Actually my space changed from 6x6 to to about 2.46ft x 5.8ft or 75cm x 180cm. I am going to custom build the room to maximize the lights footprint and put one side in halfway through for perpetual. That's about 25 x 15cm 3L tall square pots under each light with a harvest every 45-50 days. I will run a manifold watering system through the 5 rows with a pump on a timer to water about 3-4 times a day in coco. My aim is to get 1g/w. Maybe a bit ambitious?

Do you know who has these driver's the cheapest?
TME was the cheapest for me when ordering drivers.
Awaiting delivery this week sometime.......

Dude... I have no idea lol... I guess I'll be using a lightmeter Rita said she was going to send me the new V2 heatsinks that cover the whole board.. But I got the narrow ones... That kinda bummed me out.

Yeah, mark is cool AF. What are you gonna do for heatsinks? This will be my first run with QB's. Clone to 1 week veg straight to 12/12.

I bought the big heatsinks that 2 of the 288 boards fit on. Holes were already pre-drilled, tapped and ready to go.
Damn... Wish I woulda known that... I got sheisted on the heatsink... Not really sure if it matters tho as they will be closer to the plants and dimmed down. @Moflow has tested them in and out.. and made par map at different height.. what driver will you be using?
Fotops without heatsinks run warm on a hlg185= about 200w. Anything over and too hot for my taste. Every diode can take .6 w so technically should be 480w. But i wouldnt trust those pushin connectors with that much.
At 200w 12 inches seem to work as hanging height for open space.
We tried some different configs with these and the favorite was hanging them about 5inches between over a long aisle, running boards at 50-150w each. Temps, intensity with great depth and spread all excellent. Less than 400$ in boards for 2x1m, 4000 diodes that run so soft that we we never run them over nominal power, even at the highest setting. And no need for heatsinks, which saves on shipping and total cost. Also, a fixture which covers the whole cannopy completly you can dial your ppfd nicely and even with hanging height in stead of dimmdng. I shoulda made parmaps but didnt have time.

As for temps: seems like meijiu boards are good with no heatsinks to about 50w per square foot of board. Depending what the heatsinks costs it might be better to just buy more boards than heatsinks. At least in my case its cheaper just to buy 2 boards than 1 board and one really large heatsink. And even if not, the coattails of running softer; efficiency boost, lower temps, lower weight of fixture, better spread and reduced hotspot, the fact that any sammie diode even if theyre S5 runs so efficient that it doesnt matter if it isnt HG qbs etc well it got me and my diehard-hps-foreva grow partner convinced.

Man, i might need to check myself. Sounding like a shill by know, repeating myself over a few threads. Pretty soon people here will assume Rita is either sending me nude pics or holding my kids for ransom.

I'm still undecided. I mean, why would I need a 600 driver if I can't run them that high anyways? What do you recommend price wise?
You can run them with a 600 drivers you just need either a heatsink or passive cooling to keep temps of the board lower.. I think they can do great at 600w in a 4x4 space if you can keep the boards at a good temp

They came with heat sinks... Just not sure how effective they are... Will put a couple of 120mm fans on them

3 boards and a hlg 480 should be fine, but never hurts to have extra juice.
