Ok, now i think i understand: 2:2:1 for cri 80; 1:1:1.5 for cri 90.

I have a feeling we are on the verge of a proliferation of hort led options...perhaps even too many candy choices in the candy shop...

Yes the meter does cri, i’ll get a reading.l from 96.

At the top of the 2nd page, you’ll see the available modes:

Ok, these readings taken in center of 4x4, running six 96s, @18” above grid, 120w each:

Out of the people who are actually growing with the qb96 in the real world, not just paper numbers, how are they performing for you? I have 2 that I will be adding to my diy qb324 rig.

This is what my rig looks like so far until I harvest so I can pull the qb324s off my old rig and add to this rig

My main question is what coverage are you getting with these qb96. I will be powering 2 qb96 with HLG-240H-54B?

I just tested and posted intensity coverage for 1 thru 6 of them....the coverage numbers are on paper...but they are as real as any numbers you could measure in your grow.

As for growing with them, they’ve only been available for a month....but i have also posted the progress of a couple grows.

I agree, if anyone's got something to show at this point, let’s see it.

I have four strains in RRs, they’ll go under 96(s) as soon as they break surface....

I got a headache from trying to read this thread, so I stopped reading lol. Too much drama. I too love the numbers for a base line but when it comes to real world implementation that’s the data I love the most. LEDS are fairly new to me but growing is not. I can say there is a learning curve that needs to be conquered by us growers as to how much of this or how much of that or ran this hard but I’m up for the challenge. And have no problem testing new products and producing my results. Can you direct me as to where in this thread you’ve posted the data, there is a lot to filter through. Lol

Here are the ones for a pair:

Lemme know if i can help somehow...i think you positioned them well in your fixture, get a light meter if you don’t have one, you’ll want to dial in the intensity in that setup - it will be worth it! Might even decide to put in a third...

That’s gonna be sweet!

Looks like 18-24” is the ideal sweet spot from canopy level during flower for 2 qb96 ran with hlg-240h-54b based on your numbers. That works for me. Thanks for the info. Cheers

My pleasure, drop by with updates...

Cross lighting from other lights will change the intensity, so if you don’t have a meter, you have to be careful where the lights overlap, not just below. The overlap can be more intense than directly beneath the lights, depending on height and wattage.

Beautiful craftsmanship on that frame.

You're welcome.

First time, very impressive. Part of my career involves a lot of welding and burning. Metal of any type can be a pain to work with especially for the first time. I admire good craftsmanship. I get the perfection bug my self, I definitely know how it go' lol. Nothing wrong with it at all. Shows you take pride and want to make sure it's done right.

I saw your plan obviously but still, I am interested in seeing it when you are finished. All the diy stuff that people share is one of my favorite things about this community!

Mr Or_Gro, how many charts did you do for 4 x QB96? I cant find any above 18"?
There is only one, cuz, in a 4x4, 18” is perfect for 200 & 240 watts; and couple inches lower 160w becomes perfect.

Four 96s at 120w may never spread 1000ppfd evenly. It would have to be hung lower than if it was at 160w, and as the gap closes toward 12” the spread naturally breaksdown, no matter the wattage (see 12” spreads for single and pair).

If you have a dimmer on the driver and can drive your lights to at least 160w each, There should be a wattage between 120-160w where lights could be close to 15” from plant.

Going lower than somewhere close to 15” has little or no crosslighting, so the lights act individually w uneven spread.

Going higher reduces ppfd. This nay be useful for veg and propagation. For these purposes get yoursrlf a light meter. If you go the least expensive route, and buy a lux meter, you can convert it close enuff to ppfd by dividing lumens by 67; otherwise get a ppfd meter.

Checkout page 16 of this for various levels to use:

I’ve had plants flowering under them for a few weeks. You can click the link in my signature to see pictures of the buds.

My initial impression is that they work mighty fine. Growing a strain I’ve grown quite a bit. Buds are developing around the same as they have in the past with my 3500k 90cri cobs. Might be placebo but I feel like tent smells a bit stronger than usual for 40 days.
