I don't think it will have any ill affects on the plants ... there is a good way to find out :-)
.999 is what is needed for human consumption but .925 should be ok (maybe) for plants.

Haha yeah but I'm an outdoor guy so I wouldnt be able to test it out until Septemberish. I might do it though. I remember reading that the colloidal silver goes in and inhibits something else (copper?) that regulates the flowering in some way. Do you know what the silver actually does?

This is from post #19 back on page 2

What happens (in terms that I can just about understand) is that the silver molecules bind themselves to copper molecules in the bud sites of the plant.
Copper is used for ethelyne production by the plant which is used for bud production in female plants.
By binding up the copper molecules and making them unavailable, the Colloidal Silver suppresses the ethelyne production and effectively tricks the plant into thinking it is male.

Are there any strains that this technique WON"t work on? The reason I ask is I was on another thread and the subject of making a "Clone only" strain hermy and then taking that pollen and fertilizing another of the same clones to get seeds. The answer was that everyone had tried it and the pollen that was produced was no good. Ever here of this?

The plant/clone in question is the original exodus cheese, yes I have heard that it was never successful, the resulting offspring was never quite the same as the original, why i cannot explain, I do not know enough about this anomaly!

Here are the seeds that came from the girls.
I chopped them 2 weeks ago, plucked the seeds a week later and they have been stored with a large sachet of silica gel since then.

They all look fat and healthy and I'll grow them when I have a flowering spot available for them - that won't be for a few months as I have my nexy couple of grows planned and prepared.

I'm producing more pollen, this time from a CS treated Magic Bud clone and I did it slightly different this time.
I applied the CS for a couple of days BEFORE switching to 12/12 and the male flowers seem to have developed quicker and there was no sign of female flowers.
I only treated the clone for about a week all up and male flowers grew happily.
Female flowers are now starting to develop and it looks like once the male flowers finish (and if I don't apply more CS) the plant will revert to female.

As I treat more and more strains with CS I will slowly work out the best timing and frequency for the CS application.

Thanks G.O.D. Sounds like there is no question about the viability of the seeds. What about the gender? Is it simply a genetic impossibility that they be anything but feminized?

As far as I'm aware, as there was no male in the equation to donate male genes, the seeds will be female - time will tell.

The seeds are bigger and healthier looking than the original seeds (I still have 3 seeds from the bought ones).
 
I havent read every post here but amazing info.
my question is can this process be used on fem auto seeds? I have some but it would be nice to be able make more.

Should be able to, just start the CS application nice and early and use the pollen on another plant.

Probably best to give the "male" a few weeks head start so you have pollen ready and waiting for when the seed-producing plant is ready to be pollinated.

I don't grow any autos so I can't test and confirm it, but I can't see why it wouldn't work.
 
So this is sounding very interesting and I better go back and read up.

SO maybe I just dont get it but why cant the the fem auto plant i get the pollen off of be used on the same plant once it starts to flower and bud?

It can take 3 or 4 weeks to get usable male pollen and assuming the plant is a couple of weeks old by the time you start applying the CS, it could be 6 weeks old before you get any pollen - assuming that you didn't treat the whole plant with colloidal silver and there are still some female flowers to be pollinated, you would need at least another 6 weeks of growing to mature and ripen the seeds.

I think that the lifespan of an auto-flowering plant would be long enough to produce pollen, pollinate flowers and grow seeds, but personally I think it would be more efficient to collect pollen from one plant and then pollinate another fresh & vigorous plant to make the seeds.

but, as I mentioned, I don't grow autos so I ain't sure :-)

So please excuse my ignorance as this is so new to me. if this is a female auto plant wouldn't the pollen off of her be "female pollen" ? i am just trying to get an understanding.

So if I take pollen from a known fem auto and pollinate another plant as you mentioned wouldn't those seeds then be a cross of both plants? and if so would the "auto" trait in the seed still be there?

? what is the Ma of your 5 volt adaptor i am trying 7 volt but the Ma 500 are they to low after 24 hours i tryed a laser no ( tindel afect ) i copyed yours same 1 gram silver i only had a 7 volt dc
