you never heard of mollasses in a dirt grow? pretty common
Trust me I have heard too much about molasses. Every few years in the growing community someone will post factual information such as: Molasses promotes beneficial microbes in the soil which helps convert unusable organic compounds into nutrients usable by the plant.
Then it turns into a telephone game and a bunch of kids jump on the bandwagon and start saying things totally out of conjecture like: "I got huge buds all because I used molasses" or "molasses increases THC content" or "molasses makes my bud taste better". Well old school growers like me just go . . .

After a while it gets hard to sort out the BS from the facts, I prefer factual scientific evidence not ideas from some stoned teenager. Ok rant over :peace:

lighting as follows...

seedlings- 24/0 (1-2 weeks)
veg- 18/6 (60+ days)
flower- 12/12 (60+days)

i was posting that in relavence to the co2 being effective for resining plants. Its a defense mechanism they use when more co2 is introduced. As far as the molasses, its only good for fattening buds and making the taste better.

Ok, if your a few weeks away from harvest... make sure you FLUSH! This is so important. Flush for the last two weeks. Try to time it right, so that when the actual harvest day comes, your pots are dry, this lets you know that your plants obviously drank up and if the soil is dry, it makes it easier to dispose of. Another thing, I've only done it a few times and it worked for me, give your plants a full 24hours of darkness before you harvest, this adds stickiness!

Hey Shredder111 - Have you gone over and read fdd's how-to in harvesting & curing? It's really helpful. There's way too many steps to type just one or two sentences about the topic.

But if I were going to choose a word, it would be patience.

ok.. molasses has sugar in it... the sgar is meant to help bacteria in the roots with overall nutrient uptake. Therfore your benifitting from adding it. Theres also a section somewhere i was reading i cant find the damn thing...but it says that by using molasses over a period of time had increased bud size by 20%... now i dont know if thats intirely correct, sounds kinda high...but its good to use it anyways and if it does increase your yeild even by a percentage then its correct information...

Molasses makes the weed jump off the plant and roll itself into a kick ass doobie. It's even self lighting. Thats why I use it anyways.

In all actuality there is a picture in the grow bible that has a Molasses, No molasses pic of buds in the same room, under same light, same strain. The Bud with the above said ingredient used as fert looked much better and was a decent amount larger in size. No they did not have any scientific proof, or details. But in my opinion if you are writing a grow book, and say something works, you better have damn good reason or else it may be your last book.

Plants love MUSIC play it for them. It stimulates them. Even babies that dont know any better start bobbing their heads when some good music is on, its natural.

I'm not saying molasses does not help I use it in my organic vegetable garden. Those grow books love to spread opinion as fact and if you read enough of them you will notice that they just take info from each other. People write a lot of books, hell I can write a book but it does not make me an expert or even right.:peace:

Yeah, natural . . . :-?
