pre-flowers????

i just noticed some preflowers coming out on my plants. was wondering if anyone can tell what these 2 plants are. or is it to early yet.

I don't know for sure bro. I have 4/5 plants in veg with the same looking signs. Your not spose to be able to tell what sex they are until they are in flowering. But i read another post where a dude is taking those lil spikes as signs of females. I sure hope somebody answers you cause i'd like to know what they are too lol. good luck with yer grow.

If we're talking about the green spikes on either side of the stem they are called stipules and are not an indication of either sex since both have them

If that is a preflower its not showing any pistils yet so the verdict is still out. Wait a couple days and see if they pop. My guess would be female though.

well i just transplanted them both into 3 gal grow bags. so ill keep some updated pics on here.

My plants have had these stipules for about 2 weeks, I think Hubert is right, these are not indicators of sex. But if he is wrong, i am one happy motherfucker. BTW do males bud at all or just grow seeds?

They do neither. Males provide the pollen, the female grows the seeds.

LOL...to think until now i thought those lil balls on a male were seeds.

the only one that i saw an actual preflower on is the second pic, and my guess would be female on that one. very early teardrop with no hairs yet, but my bet is on female, the first and third pics don't show anything. and for the newbs, the "hairs" are white, not green. those stipule things are on every cannabis plant regardless of sex.
