Plant wont flower

So this is my first grow and believe it or not i got lucky and produced two females from seeds, one died in the seedling process due to over watering and i was able to grow the other to six feet tall, its a nice indica strain and it look so beautiful and tall, the bottom fan leaves are beginning to turn yellow and wither i have had the plant in 12/12 now for at least a month and it is in soil with a 3-1-2 nute ratio. The only thing that i can think about is i cut clones about a month ago and bought a new system for them so the light schedules arent the same, but i cover up the light from the clones so it doesnt hit the mother plant. I am growing in a 6x7x8 closet and im in soil using t5 fixtures until i can afford to upgrade to hydro with some hps's any help would be awesome.

Well, I would say that there is a pretty bad light leak that is causing your plant not to flower.... If you have gotten that plant to 6 feet tall in the veg cycle, then you are gonna have one hell of a time keeping it through flowering... it may be best to plant it outside somewhere hidden from people and let it finish el natural.... Technically a plant is suppose to tripple in size in Flowering... if it is 6 feet now, I would say it would approach 10 feet when ready for harvest... I dunno if I have seen a 10 foot indica. Quite something.

i thought indica strains don't get that tall? and all this with T-5's?? i need to see a picture....:weed: i agree its a light leak is the issue, the yellow leaves are probably lack of light penetration

How many T5's you got around that? I use all T5's too. I use them to stay hidden from choppers overhead. I use 8Xfour footers for flowering. I use 6 with 2700K bulbs and 2 with 6500K to try and stop stretching. A plant that size I'd say you want 6 to eight. I like the fact you have them vertical. I run either 8 accross the top when doing a ScrOG or SOG and I put them 4 on top and 4 horizontal if just growing 3 - 4 plants nice and big like that. Mind you, I've only hit about 6 feet when done flowering, not before.

I'd also agree with the others about a light leak. If you got 12 hours of darkness then for sure you should be flowering by now.

With it that tall... I doubt you could get it in full darkness without it alone in a closet or something.... Expecially if you are growing another set of plants in the same area.

yeah i am moving the plant and am using two t-5 light fixtures with 4 6500k 24 watt light bulbs with alternating red blue spectrum, i know the plant is streched a bit tall but it didnt grow that much until i started to flower it so i was assuming the exponential growth was from that i am starting it on total darkness starting tonight.

Awesome. So theoretically it is now starting it's flowering cycle... I wouldn't expect more growth, but lots of budding! Make sure if you can to change to a nutrient something like 5-10-7 or something laong those lines... Youw ant a high middle number now. Good luck!

You might also want more light. The 24W are what two footers? I use 8X the 4 foot 54W with really good success. I also run 4X 3 foot T5HOs in my veg garden I think they are 39W each. Then 4 three footers in my veg garden above the garden for my cloning section. If you add more light you might get less stretch as well. I don't know if you need to alternate the bulbs in flowering the 2700K bulbs are more important. But still very nice set up.

I'm glad to find another T5 grower. I got my buddy to start growing too using T5's. I love the damn things.

heya Def, are those able to be fit into the work light fixtures you can grab at walmart for like 15$? if So I may tink about putting a couple with two 65watt cfls and remaking my flowering cab.

i bet you that it grows more, it is only 30 days into flowering, and realistically it isnt even really in flowering. by 30 days there should be buds. so you still have the full time left. it does look like indica leaves but it is def. not an indica, otherwise it would not get that tall. so you are gonna have a long flowering time with alot more stretching.

speaking of stretching, it is way, way to stretched. need to move the lights closer, add more, or something to help it out.

so i hate to break this to you, but i personally dont think that your ceilings are tall enough for that plant, so i would get a plan together to try and contain its height. i dont know when it will hit its natural limit, but i bet it still has some growing left in it.

good luck and congrats on the tallest indoor plant.
