Pistils turning red too early!! 2wk's Flower

Im a little worried as on of my plants started getting redhairs at the end of a branch. Then this morning I went to take a peek and all the white hairs in that spot are gone they are curled up red hairs now. This is the only spot on the plant that is doing this, but it concerns me that it may spread or go tranny on me. Maybe I should harvest that tiny thing! lol. Here are some pics, any advice would be appreciated as I am very new to this and am learning everyday. Thanks you guys!

Looks like you need to move your light closer dude. Wut kinda light you workin wit? Any males around? Or did you weed them out? Pollen can travel for miles, so if you threw away a male in a garbage in your grow room there is a chance of pollenation. What is your nute schedule? Have you tampered with the plant? i.e. smelling or squishing the new nugs to smell em?

I have a 1000 watt mh that is about 18 inches away, all 4 plants are female and this is my first grow so there have never been any males around. I never touch my plant anywhere near the flowers. Our squish my little nuggies and have never stuck my snotty nose up against it. This plant was the one that I thought was going to be a male because it took a week longer to show its sex and was always way bigger then the others. But it is positively a female so far. With the nutes I only use every other feeding, only 3/8 suggested amount and molasses.

83 views and still only 1 suggestion, which I greatly appreciate (flaboy1 rep given). Has anybody at least seen this happen before, I have another bud area that did the same thing in less then 24hrs. It shouldn't be nute burn because the others all look great and this is the biggest plant. My ph is 6.7. Its definetly getting enough light because its under a 1000 watt m/h, Its not too close because I can hold my hand there with comfort. I have excellent air circulation and its usually about 82 degrees. All the leaves look good and the other areas have white pistils shooting straight up. I dont even see buds yet. The hairs did not just change color they curled up and died pretty much! I just hope this is not a sign of hermie starting.

If you only have 4 plants why are you using 1000W MH to flower with? Your plants are really stretched too. Which should totally not be the case if you vegged them under the MH too. With only 4 plants you would be better off with CFL's IMO. 500watts of CFL's could grow 4 slammin plants with out the heat issues of a 1000W MH.

If your problem is just with that one bud it could be a million things. Untill there is something else going on I dont think you need to worry about it too much. Its a mystery yes, but there's nothing else to go on....yet. Hopefully it stays that way for you.

The plants were vegged in the hot sun until around a ft tall, then when the temps were way to hot I moved them indoors to a 400 watt 2 bulb 4' grow lux where they were for only 2 weeks then put them to the 1000 watt on 18/24 for a couple weeks. Oh well hopefully the plant will be ok, thanks for the help guys but the only thing I can think is it is going hermie but I dont see balls or nanners yet, so I guess i will pretend she is still going to be the chrons.

I see. That switch to indoors probably stretched them out then. They look pretty good otherwise. I think she'll be ok. :peace:

look man this is what happened...
your plants had a ruff life ....
they went from outdoor to indoor ....
to different temps...
from different humidity to different lighting schedules ... too different light...
and the list continues....

What do u want a quick answer that will miraculasly save your early red(dying ) buds.....

The reason your plants are not gonna produce any killer bud is because you have no fan leaves, theyre all streched , and node spacing is terrible....

no leaves no buds.... sad i know....

see u should have just started some seed under some floros ....t5's...
kept em real close to the light ...
till they were 7... 8 nodes...
then puttemm under a 400 w..
and then changed em too the 1000 watter at flowering time.....

Thats all i wanted to hear if anybody had seen this before, I really think this is going to just have a bunch of long nuggies. Here Are the others.

Right after feeding this one gets all excited and its leaves always shoot straight up. Only since flower. Weird?

They seem alright at least I think so! lol

I forgot to mention that this individual plant hase grown almost 2 feet since the first of the month when I started flower and that I did remove some big fan leaves that were blocking the bud areas. They were huge and had to go.

OP: For what it's worth - I've had plants whose pistils have outright died (IE brown and shriveled) long before proper harvest time. Grown out to trichome maturity, they were still great produce.
