People are talking...

Well, in my experience, the ones with pink hair and tattoos are often some of the smarter ones because they understand that rules and conventions can be broken.

Yes, that was an unnecessary comment. Don't exclude people like that.
The line you quoted of mines distinctly mentioned faces...

Again... nothing against tattoos or piercings... so long as its not your face. That just tells me one thing... and it isnt good.

That's sad.

I have a phd and because my hair is red (not pick not ginger) I wouldn't get a job?

In Canada actually Ontario you can't discriminate against colour of hair or piercings because they don't affect the persons job preferences:)

I love being able to express myself and not be judged. I wouldn't expect to be treated differently if i was being respectful and polite and knew my job well. People have preferences and that shouldn't be taken into consideration when applying for a job. References and job experience should be the o lay thing that takes place. :)
Key word here is "shouldnt".
People shouldn't be racist and shouldnt discriminate and shouldnt this and that.

But they they are and they do. This is the point. People do judge. Even you. If you didnt make judgments about people you would be dead. Plain and simple.

I don't believe tattoos or piercings are about breaking conventions or self-expression.

It's buying into just another clique.... wanting to belong to a group that represents themselves as rebellious bohemians. Thats all... same tribal mentality as all other groups.

Well, it is breaking social conventions, regardless of whether it identifies them as members of a paricular subculture or not. We wouldn't be talking about it if it were otherwise.

When you exclude others, you're excluding yourself. Divide and conquer, buddy.
when you start being foolish and making up foolish stuff we end up with fools..
...this has nothing to do with discrimination..

i support free speech and people expressing them selves...go for it..i am a bit confused also

however

you cannot change biology and make up genders..by all means dress how you want..
..take hormones
we are male ar female you cannot get around it..we can not reproduce asexually like some plants

tattoo thing was its just a warning that as we age..and our bodies change..our views on things also change and you are stuck with the tats....just observations from some senior

...your "sayings" are trite

and thats enough from me..besides i like purple hair too..but it doesn't make you smarter

Oh an I am grown up, a lot of business men and women have tattoos now. They mean something to people just because you don't get T doesn't mean we haven't grown up. You have to be an a "adult" to get a tattoo any how lol man you sound pathetic very sad to judge on someone appearance.
Agreed, I have tattoos as well. But tattoos are no longer a sign of rebellion which is what they were generally associated with. Now every second soccer mom has a sleeve.

People seem to forget we discriminate all the time in varying degrees. Look at choosing a partner. There are some physical and emotional traits people are attracted to, thereby discriminating against those who fall outside those particular interests.

I dunno... people have been using tattoos and piercings and other markings for identification purposes for a long time.

So not sure what conventions are being broken.

I get what you're saying but some dilusional people think there are more than 2 genders though, lol. That whole 72 gender pronouns is beyond laughable. You can mutilate your body however you choose but you can't deny basic biology. XX or XY
I can get behind 3 genders. Male, female and both.

I mean... there are all kinds of birth defects. Some folks are born with chemical imbalances that cause mental illness. Others are born with both male and female sex organs...

So i dont think it is impossible that some people are born with hormonal imbalances... that would, for instance, make a male aroused by male pheromones and females aroused by female pheromones. Given the birth defects i have seen i figure this is an obvious one to go wrong from time to time.

So i can see why some people would be confused about their sexuality. But their gender? No. The genitals define that. Male, female or both.

So 72 pronouns? I dunno.....lol

I find pronoun nonsense to be retarded but XX or YY are not even remotely close to your only genetic options. Those are what you know because that is the basics that they teach in basic high school classes, outside of someone specializing in biology and specifically genetics there is absolutely no reason for you to know all of the variations so they do not teach it prior to college/uni.

Maybe one should stop imagining perfect strangers naked if one can't handle it.

....back on topic....met someone this weekend who told me his son became schizophrenic after becoming addicted to pot...he didn't really want to discuss predisposition or anything like that, he just knows that the pot today isn't like the pot yesterday....
Ya can't fix stupid! This is the result of reefer-madness propaganda campaigns.

Its XX or XY and in EXTREMELY rare cases XXY. Male or Female or expressions of both genetalia. Simple biology.
