People are talking...

Went to the barber shop and everybody was talking about cannabis when I walked in. It was refreshing hearing people who had never consumed publicly share their new experiences. It was like a dream. I was grinning from ear to ear.

Told them it's like coffee to me. That got their attention. Then, they got an education...

It's such a relief to be able to talk openly about cannabis.

PS. My first degree was in biochemistry. Was going to do my master research on cannabinoids and terpenes nearly 30 years ago, but the law sidetracked my plans...So, I studied something else. Yeah, prohibition has affected us all in one way or another. Glad that nightmare is almost over (this is just the beginning. We need pardons and reparations for the communities marginalized/targeted by the war on cannabis).

I sparked a gagger at an outdoor table at my favourite coffee shop on a popular avenue, flouting the new outside smoking bylaws. 2 or 3 perfect strangers stopped ask me what getting high was like. I was happy to explain... also to those who stood around to eavesdrop.

One really old guy even said, "well... it doesn look like it made you crazy." Hahahahahahahahahah

Just doing what i can to help educate.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting things to be so normal so fast. Then again, I should've known. The vast majority of Canadians wanted to end prohibition, after all. :joint:

Exciting times.

I don't know about out there, but Edmonton has a lot of fools, lining up to the trough for LP floor sweepings. Some waited 4 hours to get inside Nova cannabis yesterday, today they say the waiting times are just over an hour.

Yeah, I agree, I saw a lot of average looking Joe's in the line ups on the news, and they were all there to buy overpriced shwaggs.

Beginners waiting to be educated. Tell them about autoflower seeds every chance you get. Every grower, even if it's just one plant a year, counts.

Mostly kids in line.....

The dumb ones with tattooed and pierced faces...lol
Well, in my experience, the ones with pink hair and tattoos are often some of the smarter ones because they understand that rules and conventions can be broken.

Yes, that was an unnecessary comment. Don't exclude people like that.

I noticed that as well. Most of the folks seem to be in their 20's or early 30's.
Wow they must have zero connections to be going there and loosing their money like that.
OVER PRICE NUKED CRAP.
Must be tough buying $15 gram on minimum wage from the Subway.
Well, lots of people were just buying the containers to protect themselves since the government has been saying all other cannabis will be illicit. They worry they will be harassed by cops who judge them based on their looks.

PS. I plan on going to ask what they have that isn't irradiated just to see if they even know about it. I'll have a good laugh if they suggest product from the LP that poisoned me.

Yes I understand that they think it will help. Thing is it's not needed. There are no laws that says it must be in original packaging. As long as it's not accessible any container is fine.
Obviously with people allowed to grow their own not everyone has the gov packages.

Yes that was my plan here in Ont....to ask the gov store clerk what has been used to grow this as far as chemicals and approved pesticides. Of course they won't know that.
Was going to be funny when I handed them the HC list of approved stuff and said " well no thanks to that"

Of course you're right, but that's behind some of the motivation. For others, it was cathartic experience, I'm sure.
