hello, i am a first time grower and i have planted 6 plants (Random Bagseed) for pretty much shits and gigs to start off my growing adventures. I started the plants back in early may and then moved them outside later that month. From what i can tell everything is going pretty well but as of the last time I checked on the plants there were no signs of pre-flowers or sex of plants (from what i read they will appear in about the next few weeks or so when the days continue to get shorter).
My questions are that:
1) My plants are rather big compared to what i see people talking about when they flip the switch to 12-12 (around 2 feet or 4 nodes). Two of my plants are around 6 feet tall (not sure how many nodes) and the other four are not far behind (around 4 and a half to 5 feet) and from what i heard they will at least double in size when they are in the flowering stage so my question is would it be best to just let them grow and let them turn into the trees they were meant to be or maybe top them or use another method to limit there vertical growth (not sure if it would be a good idea at this point).
2) I also fear that i might of planted the plants too close together I figured that since I did not know the sex of the plats it was a 50 -50 shot so at least some of them would in fact be males and I could pull them and leave plenty of room for the rest but just in case i get lucky and more are female then male would it be a good idea to maybe dig some up and space them correctly or would this stress the plants too much in this stage?
I'm sure i have more questions too but lets start with these before I get out of hand, thanks in advance for your help and i will try to get some fresh pictures of the hopefully female plants in the next day or so.
Thanks Again ; Dj
