Yeah DubsFan, I think Ive said it before but I definitely see hydro in my future. I mean there are some definite advantages to soil also, but you cant deny the growth rate of hydroponics.

I was thinkin I would start of with a DIY rubbermade type DWC. Maybe stick 1 or 2 in along with a soil grow.



Im still looking for that DIY link to the DIY adjust a wing cool tube. I found one but it was cheesy and not the one I remember seeing.:peace:

There are many that do well with DWC.

I'm a rockwool fan myself. I like flooding trays. When you find that link let me know. I like building shit.

iv solve the prob now, still dosn't make it any better. it seems insects like a cold damp dirty growroom. it is now none of these. iv been pissed the whole holiday so neglected the basics. Didn't try hard enough:lol:

shit looks phukin sweet. I heard that when AK grows it smells like harsh dog shit - hows yours? also which strain stinks the most out of your bunch?

The reason really I was thinkin I would try DWC is not necessarily that I think its any better than the other methods, its the simple fact I can sit a Rubbermade up in its own little spot next to my soil pots without taking up much room. Then I can ease into the hydro. Get my feet wet first before diving in head first.:bigjoint:

Thanks insain. Is that what that smell is I thought I stepped in somethin. The cheese is definitely the stinkiest hands down.

I like the RW because if the shit hits the fan and you lose power or water the RW retains enough moisture to get you by for days. With some of the Aero systems where there is no medium your shit is dead.


I hear the Cheese is a straight up dank indica.

Hey ruva nice grow man, I have a similar setup except my reflectors are yieldmasters, but i know all the hard work u done watering those bad girls will keep following ur grow good luck man

True... True. And with Californias rolling blackouts thats always a possibility in the summer.

The Green crack though.... that shit is a close 2nd. Very close.

Thanks irieboy. Welcome to RIU and my grow. Yieldmasters are nice hoods. They have a pretty nice spread? Yeah its been hard work, now the end is near and Im hoping for a nicew payoff.

Yield Master XXXL's are great hoods. But at $230per...

With 1000's the spread is easy to get if you put your hoods 3ft over the canopy. And with 1000's you can get away with that.

Whoa DubsFan. Where you shoppin at? My guys have them for $89.00. These guys are way cheaper than anyone Ive seen.

Yeah I understand that concept, I guess really what I meant to say is that its a pretty good size hood.

Unless your using a Adjust a wing. Then you can put your lamp 12" above your canopy andstill get an 8' spread.

It looks like I am on the home stretch here and I will hopefully start harvesting most everything next weekend. Maybe as soon as this weekend on the Cheese and Green Crack. I watered last night and things are lookin real good. Im only using Overdrive & Bud Candy right now by the way.

On the Cheese and the Green Crack my trichs are completely milky white with about 5-10% amber and they look ripe. Just a few more days. Everything else could technically be cut too, but Im lookin for that amber look to the buds and the trichs. They are all white.
Just a little more amber.




I didnt take any pics last night, I will on the next feeding but here are a few shots from the last feeding on the 11th.
