Northern Lights Male to Hermie?

Ok here goes the issue..

I am fresh out of NL beans and have 2 males in veggie at the moment..

I have crossed over a few NL's with a couple other great strains but what I am most interested in is possibly stressing the shit out of my male to create a hermie NL..

I have had on a couple occasions had hermies but its been so long ago that I'm not sure if it was female to hermie.. (i deliberately light stressed em in the past)..

I've also never ran into the issue that hermies created hermie beans, my couple hermies actually created almost all females..

My intent is to have some NL beans, this was a great strain with great genetics, that I unfortunately had a couple crashes and all i'm left with is a couple males that I have in veg.

Can I stress my 2 males into hermie? thru light stress?

Thanks and....

~cheers

your chances are likely low
my understanding is that is quite rare to get a male hermie that is fertile
you may get some female pistils, but supposedly rarely fertile
strangely enough, i just had this issue pop up
i had a jock horror male, i was real concerned about pollen ferting my current female nl#5
so i got the bright idea to cut the male tops, and place in a pollen proof plastic container
they died, no male pollen, but i had kept the male alive by a window
it was stressed, hadn't been watered, but threw it back into the grow chamber to try to get some more male tops
thing started to hermie like the devil, only female pistils, no more male tops
cut it at that point, no male pollen, but i wonder what would have happened if i kept it alive

Thanks for the info my friend...

I think I may try to just throw these boys in some soild and stress the crap out of em for a month or 2 and see if I can get em to hermie..

I love me my NL and am devestated at this loss.

I got them from a good friend in BC and his females from this strain grew over 20' tall (out doors)...

I crossed em with a purple widow for the fun of it.. should be interesting to see how that turns out.. I've also crossed it with ice, and one of my own strains..

Its an Afghan NL, not sure which # tho..

I top em 3 times and use a 1000 watt hps and they still get atleast 7' tall indoors (hydro ebb and flo).. On that 3 x 3 table I can only grow 4 plants they're soo damn big.. I tie the shit out of em just to get those 4 in there lol..
