Northern Lights 2023

I fixed a torn zipper on my flower tent this morning. 50 lb waxed thread lockstitched should keep it together. Way better than buying a new tent and surprisingly easy with the right tool.

Here we are again, 7 days since flip and plants have started to stretch some. Definitely trellising this time and I have a set of bars coming to offset the negative pressure sucking in the sides of the tent and also giving me a way to stretch the trellis into square.

My mother continues to grow. She could use repotting but that's not going to happen. She has another couple of weeks left before I clone her and start over. I'd like a set of plants ready to go as soon as the current ones finish in 9 weeks or so.

I've been lollipopping the lowers.
Sometimes it's hard to stop!

Definite budding on day 9

Finally got my accessory bars 2 weeks after usps lost them. Wove them into my trellis to square it up. Worked a charm. Just in time. Plants are blasting off on day 11. Probably will spread them out a little before they get much bigger.

That’s fantastic mate!
I’m sure it’s a problem we’ve all faced many a time, I know I have thrown a few tents out for that exact reason!

Worthy of a how-to thread for those in need when the inevitable time comes…

Thanks! Anyone can do it. It's suprising more tents aren't sewn with stronger thread. Oh yea, because then you wouldn't be throwing tents away and buying more, right?

Planned obsolescence… the bastards

I took a dozen cuttings from this NL5 9 days ago. I could take another dozen now! Someone suggested I flower her.

17 days into flower, buds forming, minimal stretch complete it seems.

I decided my mom was too nice not to flower, so I put her in a 6 gallon pot. She's too close to the lights until I take that shelving out and I'm also going to switch from my no name lights (Bozily, lol) to a 200w Spider Farmer panel. I see no reason to veg much more so I'll flower in my veg tent while the other plants finish in 6 weeks. I kept 4 clones of her so I have to make a place for them to veg. My laundry room has a shelf with some t5 style led lights. They'll be happy there

As a Bx8 of the OG NL#5, how does it smell?

Growing like a weed. Roots out the bottom 3 days after repotting. Installed a tomato cage for the inevitable flopping and flipped to flower yesterday. Currently in my 2x3 tent under a 200w spiderfarmer panel.

Definitely. But I think I underfed those at start of flower and probably won't break my scale at final weight lol.

Flowering this in a 2x3 tent might be a challenge. I need to improvise some bars to hold the sides out, at least the long sides. 6 days from flip

Did some necessary pruning. Ended up taking 12 cuttings to root in the process
I still have 5 plants half way through flower. They suffered a bit of neglect in early flower but the ship seems to have righted and is on course for another 4 weeks or so.

Almost consumed that tomato cage in four days.

It's definitely too big for this tent even with my fine custom stretcher bars!
