6 13 watt 2400k cfl's
5 26 watt 6500k cfl's
2 20 gallon rubbermaid tubs stacked
1 roll mylar
1 honeywell universal replacement carbon filter
1 roll duck tape
1 2 gallon pot
mtn dew bottles cut in half for seedlings after germinating before transplant :joint:
so i started with 11 seedlings i had some trouble in the start 2 died now i got 9 i went to work the other day and my roommate unpluged my lights so...i took 8 and planted as a outdoor will have pics when i go check them but for now i have 1 in a 2 gal pot in the tubs i hope it is a female. so hope cause i only have the one indoors. they are 25 days from seed. my medium is miracle grow....i know alot of ppl say dont use it cause the nitrogen levels in it is too high but it seems to be workin fine. i am a noob tho so if you have any suggestions please comment. p.s. im running 24/7 but in like 3 weeks gettin a timer then goin 12/12...well thats the plan anyway for now:peace:

Yeah, the pics are tiny but from what I can see they look healthy and green. Now remember if you switch to 12/12 the plant usually doubles in size if not more.

yea i am kinda limited on height i could always stack another tub on top but would rather not. right now if i raise my lights all the way up i have like appox 18 inches of grow height left.

there is nothing wrong with starting 12/12 from seed. I have about 20 inches to my lights and I have started 12/12 right off the bat, you don't get as much but you just have to grow it all the time. there are a lot of strains out there to get the biggest bang for the buck. Look at Big Bud or Silent Orange. You just get one main cola. its really cool to see all the new threads started. Good luck with the grow.

yea i have heard people doing that but my lights have been runnin 24/7 for almost a month now and for veg purpose and at about a month and a half switch to flowering 12/12 and let that go for like 2months or tell the trichs have turned almost completely amber...is it possible to light stress the plant with cfl's?

good lookin start man...i vegged(18/6) for about a month then switched to 12/12...was goin to do my clones 12/12 but i would like to get em too about a foot before flowering...more bud!...light stress is possible for cfl's jus like anyother light...jus make sure you have complete darkness for the 12/12 cause gettin that far then gettin hermies(cause light seeks in most likely) sucks for sure! but anyways best of luck man...subscribed and + rep

k the tubs are completely dark when the lights are off because the only way light could get in is only when i open it on the vents i have the carobon filters one on the intake and one on the exhaust

my lights are on 24 hours a day 7 days a week and i turn my fans off for like 10 15 min when the co2 is on but other than that the vents are simply hole cut into the side of the tub at the top and bottom with carbon filters and fans attached you cant see any light thru the fans and the filter

I don't think you can lightstress them with cfl's, but i've never heard of flowering them with cfl's. So you're gonna go to 12/12 with florescent bulbs? Will that even produce anything worth growing?

would 24 hrs a day through out veg promote males or hermies...does it really matter?

naw males are goin to be males no matter what hermies are from stressed out females the female is growin balls to pollenate itself cause its stressed and needs to make sure it can produce seeds...24 in veg is fine 18/6 is better do like 24 for sprouts and clones 18/6 for veg

so if a female turns hermie and pollenates its self does that mean since it was a female that the seed would be feminized??? just wondering

A genetic herm will get soo seedy that the smoke will be pretty unpleasent. If you get a female to later herm on you then it will only produce a couple bannanas and if you keep up with them you should be fine - can also use this pollen to make feminized seeds.

so here the update...i still havent got to check on the outdoors yet but i do know it has been rainin alot herelike about 4-6 inches in the past 3 days will that shock them? or drown them? far as the indoor my roof started to leak and the landlord came in to fix it while he was here he unpluged them...so he could use the outlet and they are approx 12 inches high so i said the hell with it and let them be off for 36 hours and start flowering so anyway the lights come back on 12/12 today. and does anyone know where to get any big bloom here in the midwest???

dont worry about the rain...jus think about how many people do grow outside just like guerilla style...or like in the NW they get hella rain and people grow outside...central america in the rain forrest...so im pretty sure the rain isnt goin to hurt them to much...my males have been outside and ive gotten all that rain as well and if anything they have grown more...36 hours of dark huh...is that good?...ive heard of 24 hours of dark to start flower but 36 never heard of it but hey whatever works...i just started straight 12/12 took about a week and a half to sex all my plants tho
