Next Generation: Romulan

Has anyone grown this or smoked it or knows anything about it?
I have heard that it is one of the few strains that has pine phenos.
Like many, I have missed the old school "christmas tree" bud. I ordered a pack to go through and hopefully get a few males. If I can get a nice strong pine smelling male, I will start going through females to find the most pine smelling I can get to try and isolate the pure pine smell.

I grew their romulan diesel. It had quite the terp profile but I didn't get any pine just overwhelming grapefruit.

Grapefruit sounds about right for their diesel.

The Romulan cut that goes around my parts smells like grapes. No pine at all. I've heard there is a different cut, but I've never seen it. Nor has anyone else I know.

Flipside, these Ghost OG x Haze hybrids... there are two girls... one smells a bit piney with some sweetness and the other is full on pinesol.

I heard bubbleman say in a video that he feels that House of the Great Gardener's GG1 (formerly named Afghani) is actually "the oldschool romulan" because of the strong presence of pine.


I f2'd the Romulan Diesel so it should be interesting to sort through those one day and hopefully find both ends of the spectrum.

I've grown GG1. I wouldn't describe it as pine. There are hints there I guess, but it's sweeter smelling. At least the version I had. My stock might have been slightly different, precursor stock that I received from a guy who helped do the breeding. I only did one plant but yea, pine not how I would describe it.

I grew out a 5pack of regular NG Romulan a couple seasons back. I got one nice fem, two herms at pre-flower stage and one got eaten by a bird or something the other didn't pop. Very potent bud with a mild pine aroma when flowering. Lost the pine aroma when drying and cured to a lemon aroma with little flavor when smoked. I was using concentrated lemon juice to balance pH so not sure if this affected the terp profile. Excellent potentcy however. Good luck with the pine hunt.

id try the 15 pack for 75 from them, iv been really considering it with the 20 off

No experience with Next Gen Romulan...

Buuut I wanted to help point you in the direction of a pine smelling strain. Check out CH9 Jack. It had an overwhelming smell and taste of pine. It was almost like drinking gin. Huge yields of better then average hazey buds.

I was not a fan as the pine terps were to much for me

yes, there is a grape romulan strain

From my reading apparently there are two main phenos.
Federation Seeds and Next Gen were friends/allies/business partners/whatever. Federation Seeds gave stock to Next Gen.
Federation Seeds worked the grape (from the vine) line and Next Gen focused on the pine pheno line.
I guess we will see how it works out in the future if customs doesnt rain on my parade.

That is contradictory to what is said on EUseedfinder.

Last I heard federation got busted and lost the original romulan joe cut. I'm pretty sure you have to get it from next generation seeds. The trolls on this site pretty much chased him away. I'm looking for the pine myself. Romulan by Dr.Pecker

classic seeds holds the original romulan joes and it is great. he isnt currently offering it anyplace at the moment but he will this year along with c99f2 and a few others and they are all legit and great genetics i have them all

Killer looking pink/purple pistils.

classic can be found over at stax but like i said he wont have his romulan or c99 or nl out for a bit as he has been workin some fems and other crosses up but also if you can find outfall genetics he has the bean doomsday vault of everything we could ever have dreamed of having and is generous with his beans as he runs them he stays in the shadows for the most part but can be found on some boards once in a while as he is always lookin for sonehin he dont have
