How would you know this? Have you grown both?
I listened to a podcast with the younger guy who teamed up with grimm recently to rerelease the grimm brand and he talked about not having the original c99 in clone form but had seeds, I think. So they worked those seeds and backcrossed them to something else or something to that effect. Sorry cant remember all the story but its not the same c99 grimm used to offer.

If this helps anyone: Mosca's 100% is the real deal for c99 I had originals from heavens stairway and apollo 11's. His BX is spot on for the pineapple phenos and you will also get the grape fruit and tropical fruit ones but much less than the open line he released along side the BX. Mine was top shelf all day. I have not grown peak seeds version but I have 0 reason to not believe he kept the line perfect form for preservation after seeing multiple pictures and reports. It blows my mind Brothergrimm decided to completely change shit rather than grabbing from people who had preserved the lines and crossing back to his.

I do not personally know anything about AK Bean's but heard that Joe's cut was good. That's all I know.

AK’s cut comes from MrBobHempHill. It goes around as the original “1979 Romulan” cut but it’s a misnomer. Federation released a Romulan line tagged “7 of 9” and over the years its been bastardized... to my knowledge it was their original F1 with the White Rhino male that Fed used. Selected male 7/9 and the name

Rom 7of9 = Rom 79 = 79 Rom

Check out Romulan Genetics dot Weebly dot com—someone close to the original source surfaced about a year ago or so. His IG is littered with pics of his Romulan cut, which originally went by the name Port Alberni Pine Bud. The cut that AK and Hemphill and Nature Farm use is a blueberry toe jam funk type, the original cut was all pine and pepper.

That is what I remember of romulan, it was pine type flavor. Weird that there is a blueberry pheno? Weird
