Newb's first grow C99 X 2

Rounding the corner coming up to week seven! I watered them with nutes for what will probably be the last or second to last time today. The yellowing of the fan leaves is accelerating and is starting to spread out from the main stalk. The tall ones main cola is becoming so heavy that it's falling down and needs to be tied up. The smell is making my mouth water, it's so good and the buds are starting to fatten up. I think 2 more weeks and it'll be chop time. :D

Thanks Puff. Im starting to get anxious and excited for them to finish up. Im going to be on the road later this week and I hope nothing bad happens while im out. Also, do you guys think 55-60 degrees F is too cold of a night temp?

I like the looks of your plants man .....
I personally think it is a bit cold I like to keep it around 17-20c at night I thought on my last grow when lights where off and temps down to 13-15c it slowed it down a bit ......

I have one big bit of advice for you.. c99 is NOT mold resistant... I lost a few grams of my first c99 grow to mold at the jarring stage.. you would be best to get a hygrometer for your jars and keep a close eye

You're doing an amazing job man!

I can tell that lover temps highly affected my current Cindy run. It was 58-68 and that much was enough for me.. Once I placed a heater, I saw her appreciation within couple of days, but I lost quite some flower time..
About harvest time, Cindy is at its best at day 49-52. Flowering longer maybe you'll get some extra gram, but you'll be losing the trippyness it has. I was seeing huge difference between C99 harvested at day 52 and day 57..

Nice looking grow! I'm subbed and happy to have found this post as this is my very first grow ever too, and with the very same FMS C99 plant. Looks a little familiar...

I'm in day 20 of flower, and sadly, it doesn't look like I'm on par with the bud growth it looks like you've got.

Keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing the results...

Hey Zand, thanks man! What's your setup?
I'm growing in a small 1.5' x 1.5' x 4' cab using a single 90w Prosource LED, doing hempy style with Dyna Gro nutes. I think the less-than-ideal bud production could be due to a few things: insufficient fresh air from having the exhaust fan only come on once an hour for 5 minutes (it's loud!), the power of the LED, and not being able to control the pH well. Well, we'll see what happens in the next few weeks, and there's always next time!

nice first grow CC....I'll be growing some C99 soon as well (2nd grow)....Looks like I better plan for them to grow 4 to 5x their size when I switch to 12-12....

Just curious, do you still have the 12-12 from seed ? Is she going to produce anything ?

I'm back and they didn't die! It looks like about another week, maybe a little bit more for the two cindys to be finished but they are plumping up nicely. Most of the fan leaves have turned color and the ones that went straight yellow or died have been pruned away. I'm done feeding So I'm assuming that this means that the plant is sucking all the nutrients out of the leaves and pumping them into the buds. I do still have the 12/12 from seed Lemon Kush. I planted her in straight FFOF, put her in the back corner, and have given her nothing but plain water and she grew. Right now she is about 26 inches tall with little branching out. I think she will mostly be one big cola plus some popcorn buds. Buuuuut that's what experimenting is for, to learn!

I'm about a month behind you, so I can't wait to see your end result! If my plant looks anywhere close to as good as yours at harvest time I'll be well pleased.

Are you thinking about some sort of LSTing or ScrOGing on your next grow to get a more even canopy?

Hey Zand, I think for my next grow I might try topping and growing in a DWC. I'm getting close to harvest time so I gave them both a good flush. More than half the leaves have yellowed and I'm thinking I might harvest this weekend or early next week. They have been plumping up quite a bit and the main colas are downright phallic.
