New to LED looking for assistance designing a light

I actually gained height. It's slimmer than the cool tube and I got rid of all that hose! I'm able to lift this higher as a result. Kinda scary having 30lbs of metal hanging above a plant. I'm gonna leave this a few days before I move my plant in there. Just to test out the ropes. I have a journal started for it already. I post a link here.

I have 2 on each tie point in case 1 breaks.

Here it is hanging. Perfectly centered. The light is way more even now. The pictures don't do it justice. Big thanks to Rahz and everybody for their help! View attachment 3593057View attachment 3593058
Been sitting on the sidelines watching you put this thing together step by step...a very clean build! I run the same temp of cobs at about the same PAR watts/sq/foot. I think you will be happy. Would like to see how you grow under your new light! Wish you well. Thanks for sharing.

Ya need a Far Red light now to use to shorten flower time it's a very simple build compared to what u just fabricated
U can use stars , they seem the easiest to handle
myself I'm gonna retro fit some 10watt led flood lites I have with some fleabay far red cobs (this cob is made for nightsight glasses )
i got that the idea from the Far Red thread the cob's are on fleabay $12-20
see this thread = https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-far-red-thread.867665/page-15#post-12270456

NO, you want to push air into the heatsink, has been documented countless times as the preferred way in your configuration........some manufacturers pull the heat away to get ul/etl certs === design limitations.
I am here to learn. Please share the links to where it has been documented countless times before. Thank you.

I'm a believer now! I can feel it! Now the air pulls in and is pushed across the fins of the heatsinks. Nice steady flow coming out the ends of the heat sinks. I honestly don't even think I needed fans. Those 5.66 sinks are plenty.

Bonjour
You waste lights...
You would need maybe 2 cob @50% for this plant size...and you put 200w on it...! A bit too much imo!
You need 3 other plant to use all the lights...you will need a loooong vegg with only one

I've done one plant for the last few years. It only takes about 5 weeks to fill the screen or less. I'm not wasting near as much energy as I was with the 400w mh. With the old set up I was pulling close to a pound on one plant. Go back and look at my other journals. I tried multiple plants in this grow and it just doesn't work for me. Too hard to water, trim, ect. Once the roots start growing in these 5 gallon smart pots my plants take off! I do respect your opinion tho and that brings up something that I had planned on doing but forgot......I was going to add a switch to shut off the driver for the 4 corner cobs. That way when the plants just start out I don't waste energy.

I've had it in all day and it literally puts out NO heat! My grow room has been at 62 all day! Never raised a bit. Basement has gotten a little colder since it's nice out today and the furnace isn't running as much. It dropped from 71 to 68. I am in awe of this thing. Heat sink aren't even warm. Why didn't I do this sooner?

image.png image.png Was playing around with a lux app for my phone today. I'm sitting at about 6" above the top of the plant. It was like 6600lux. But I got 10,000lux at the dirt. Thats about 14" to the light. Also that's at 50% power so 200w. image.png
