Not sure about the Inventronics and the luxeon cobs are not in stock atm, but I have seen them in a price range between 18-25$. The CRI90 seems to be more expensive as CRI80 and the CRI70 with lower color temps (3k/3,5k) are hard to find.
And I've seen they are binned @85°C, so maybe 6 - 8 are enough to compare it with 6 CXB3070. It would be interesting to see how they perform at lower currents.

Bummer on the availability.

Inventronics makes aluminum encased CC drivers. Some of the larger ones have efficiency comparable to Meanwell, not just 200w but 240 and 320 watt drivers.

The manufacturer website is slow as butter but there are some single and multi channel drivers worth checking out.

FLS had the Vero's before Digikey, which was nice for a while....Digikey was only selling the RS and something else still in late 2013....or maybe just the 10's....

Those inventronics are Very nice...I always thought that was who Meanwell emulated for their bigger HLG's...

They are $28 each at Mouser for 10, same as V29s at digikey.

I do have a contact for the V29's at 27.50each for 6 if anyone wants the info ill post it. I'm not sure if it will go down for 10 or more

I understood 10 luxeon for the price of 1 V29...now I understand!
So which one are better(according to the data sheets) for the same wattage
The V29 are 25.50 $ on kb (10$ shipping) I believe you can order 4 mini!

KB's adds say "5" mini, also doesn't cary 35K's, but will order for you @50 ea.,
I only needed 4.

I believe it is the same with 3590 5 mini,but,I asked for 4 and he sold me 4! I mean,he know that diyers use,in general,about 4,so why didn't you asked him!??

Just a quick update. I am working with lumiled (luxeon chips) engineers to find a lighting solution for my build. I guess I peeked their interest a bit. does anyone have a link to either a good video or article for the led lighting throughout the life cycle of the plants (veg/flower). I have a lot of link from the research I have been doing myself but if others have ones that they use as the go to source and none of the riff raff that is out there lol. I am hoping to build it for myself but if we can get some of these led engineers to be interested then it may benefit us all. They are sending me some info as well for a new line that is not released yet but will be in September which they feel may be more suited to growing needs as it (from what I understood them to say atleast) is a single chip that provides a better spectrum spread. There interest kind of caught me off guard a little bit but maybe its a good thing.

The datasheet provides readings taken at Tj 85, and when compared to Vero at Tj 85 Luxeon is not too far behind but considering the V29 would be half current Vero is a better deal all around.

What's odd is that the Luxeon product page suggests a totally different set of numbers at 85C than are suggested in the datasheet. Not sure what to think about that.

lj, he doesn't sell 3500K 29's, J@KB suggested I mix 3K & 4K, that's not
what I want, so I ordered from Digi and paid the extra $40 DHL and got hit
with $42 VAT. IF KB had what I wanted, I would have got from them and
only paid $10 CN Postal and no VAT.
From KB's @ earley this week, not are personal @'s.
