Seems to me if you are already using mykos...why add another. Their website says the original contains:
-Bacillus subtilis
-Bacillus amyloliquefaciens
-Bacillus pumilus
Check and compare to your mykos...

First time only 2 plants, vs 7 last run. 2gal and 3gal fabrics. Feeding them 5x per day. 82/70/1200ppm.

Day 17 since sprout.
They just got their nutes increased to .5ml si/2ml calimagic/2ml micro/ 3ml bloom per gallon. Watering to runoff everytime.
They can easily be watered twice a day now (18/6). I think i may transplant them into their final 2g fabric pots very soon. I have 1 runt whos got some weird leaf twisting going on, not sure if this is signs of deficiency or its a trait of the strain. Shes the only one tho, so im leaning more towards deficiency ? any ideas? its the 3rd pic.

Hey Diggs,
I was going to tell you that you can very easily treat root rot in coco. But after looking at the second photo. Those roots are fine. A little discoloration can just come from nutes. But actual root rot will give you slimy bad smelling roots. Bet those roots were clean smelling.
Sometimes...and mostly if I let a plant get too rootbound, I'll take a shears and cut through the bottom root circle. Just a few cuts will help to stimulate new root growth. hurts nothing.
Very professional grow dude. Don't neglect the runoff. There are different philosophies about that. But right now I have two plants that I had to flush...excess salt build-up. Prevention is better then cure.

Thanks Gr, really liking the switch to coco so far. Was easy in the solos, watering to runoff didnt take long. Hand watering 2g pots 3-4 times a day will prob be a little more work but i look forward to it.

i will keep the tip about root rot in mind for future reference, yes the roots for all 9 looked very similar to the pic i posted, to my newbie eye they seemed healthy enough.
I have been watering to runoff every time in the solo cups, now that they are in the 2gs,should i still be soaking the pots to runoff while they are small? or should i do as i did in soil? in soil, after transplant i would gradually increase the amount of water given each time until i was finally soaking the pots every time. not sure if this would apply to coco as we've heard a thousand times, never let coco dry out.

Maybe try and look at watering from two different perspectives. Early on in vegging...the goal is to get good root development. Wet/dry cycles are best for that. But even with small veg plants...you should water to get maybe 10 to 20% runoff... salts will accumulate.
It's been my experience that if you aren't watering to runoff...salts will build up even at a modest feeding level. And when you have excess salts in the rootzone...and then let it dry...then those chemicals with precipitate out and remain toxifying your rootzone (usually by lowering the ph) This is why toxified plants have similar leaf damage as ph issues...because that's the main issue with salt build-up. Well that plus other nute element lockout..
It is called a "drain to waste" system of growing because of the runoff. The best coco growers know their plants and media well enough that sometimes they don't have to do that so often.
At a bare minimum, you should water to excess and measure runoff ppm and ph weekly. Runoff should be less then 100ppm higher then nutes that went in. The rest of the time...water till you have just enough runoff to know the coco is all wet.
And if all of your plants are fairly similar...you may not need to actually measure runoff on all of them. Just do a couple plants.

Thanks for the detailed response bud. I wasnt sure if i had to worry about overwatering the young plants in bigger pots, i gotta keep reminding myself that coco likes staying wet and dries out quick, i remember the DJM thread and hes just blasting them with water 5-6 times a day. Still trying to get through all of that thing lol...Great thread full of awesome info.
Makes sense about the wet/dry cycle while they are small tho, let the roots work. 2g fabric pots with 30-40% perilite shouldnt take long drying out anyway.

Same here .Canna Coco is the brand to get I'm on round 4 and these look better then the other 3. Cannazym does what is supposed to. Turns old roots into food. Obviously I run Canna nutrients.
