New style Samsung LM561C Board

@Randomblame I'm not nobody to insure anything and of course I would not risk to buy 500 boards to Hansion, Mofue or others from
these scammers can now send me something real as a sample and then in the big order to do the fraud again, these people are
can expect anything after seeing the fraudulent practices that they have as business with their large clients, HLG were the first
in being scammed by these people as I read Hansion was their first provider and I think they had to leave them for being swindled again and again
If they cheat people who ask for thousands of boards that they will not do with a small order of 50 or 500 boards, I do not even want to think about it.
But neither of us can assure that Samsung mount S6 in the F-Series since they do not ensure it anywhere in their datasheets and if they are S5 the 561B + have almost the same performance to the conditions that will work.

Datasheet clearly says LM561c not LM561b+ and as already mentioned above, only S6/A1 and S5/AZ fits with the 180lm/w from the datasheet. LM561c also have outward features that distinguish them from LM561b or b +.
It's not explicitly mentioned in the datasheet, but if you go to the trouble and compare it with the calculator, you'll get the same result.

To me HLG doing the QC is well worth $40 just for peace of mind and less time I would to waste testing and verifying could be time spent with other things
Yea, for sure. For some it's worth it, for others its not.
I built a belt grinder to see if I like making knives. I could have bought a belt grinder, but half the fun is building shit on my own. Taking the good with the bad.

Alternating between 3000k and 4000k diodes. That's why there are slight difference in color with the diodes.

I have 2 diodes coming in from digi-key next week. But from the looks of it, these look like lm561c (or potentially b+)

As long as they grow decent plants...

Mind taking a wide shot of the board you received? If I remember correctly these weren't from Jeff right? Info on voltage and all that.

Has anyone done a warranty/doa claim with these Chinese sellers yet?........

Hlg has shown to have good CS in here

I would like to see more than LEDs, so I want the best LEDs on the market mounted on 1/2oz copper? If these scammers cheat with the most visible I do not even want to think what the boards will have inside of course the cheapest thing they can open a board to corroborate how many ounces of copper they will have? if they put lm561b + and they say are lm561c I guess if they say the boards has 2 oz they will have 1/2oz lol. Surely it would be another of the scams that saw the guys from HLG,
I would not risk buying these scammers from Hansion and others from alibaba or a battery can be seen as they have scammed half the world you have to be asshole to have almost the production world of boards and lose it for that taping its customers,
guys these people have cheated most sellers from the EU to USA doing the most typical Chinese fraud sell you one thing and send another very different from much less quality them as any scammer will do anything to cheat, send some good boards will give them the lower prices and even kiss their feet but I doubt they stop cheating after having lost most of the production of boards they are consummate swindlers.
only with QC in origin as have some sellers we can be sure of what we buy.

do we still have any reason to believe these diodes are even samsung LM561b+ other than the scammer saying they are after being caught scamming?

has anyone compared the light output of one of these boards to the expected results from the LM561B+ calculator?

they could very easily be epistar diodes. there is zero guarantee they are even samsung lm561b+ that could just be the closest generation which is visually similar to these fake diodes.

What happens when/if it’s only 1/2 ounce of copper compared to the 1 ounce my boards are supposed to be?
i'm also wondering what the implications would be if the diodes and boards aren't voltage matched and same bins etc
could that be a concern with regards to thermal runaway etc?

copper is only $0.20us an ounce so that's pretty fucking sad to be pinching pennies that bad. i wonder where they learned that ...
