Everything still looking great...no stretching...all going good...

Got another surprise tonight that was not there this morning, another seedling as decided to sprout :D This makes plant #9. See I knew it was a good idea to just throw the seeds that didn't germinate into the soil :D

So right now ive got 5 plants that started around the same time, all about the same height, then 4 more plants staggering about 3-4 days apart when they popped through the soil. I had to transplant one from one part of the bed to another since it was about 3" from another plant, but it seems to be taking just fine and I didn't damage the root structure digging it out gently and moving it to another spot :)

It is really surprising sometimes how much growth actually happens in just a few days. Here are some updated pics from a few minutes ago:

100_0790.jpg100_0793.jpg100_0791.jpg100_0788.jpg

Doing about 400ppm waterings every 2nd watering. Waterings at about the 36hr mark, so sometimes morning, sometimes evening. I check on them just about every morning and evening :)

Been 2 days...time for more pics lol...I wanted to take some macro pics with my wifes DSLR, but the battery is dead...and she cant find the charger...oh well...here be from my crappy little old 4megapixel camera :D I turned off the HPS for a min to take the shots...so now you can actaully see how green everything is :D

Great looking color man, very healthy! Haha in your second pic you can see just how small some of them are compared to the older plants.

Yeah those other small ones are the later bloomers...of the small ones in that second pic the one in the back right came up first, then a couple days later the one on the front left, then 3 days later the one on the front right, then a week later the little itty bitty one in the back left, and there is the last one that came up 4 days ago that is out of that shot in the front of the tote :D

Did my daily morning check and had to raise the lights again. I raised them 2 days ago as well. Getting some pretty explosive growth from the 4 older plants on the left side of the bed. I also increased the PPM of their feeding this morning to 750. I've been alternating clean water and 350-400ppm for the last 2 weeks. I still give the smaller seedlings just straight water, but I imagine some of the other neuts will leach around a bit and get to them.

Also I could finally notice a few small white hairs! Definitely have at least 2 females :D, but I NEED at least 1 male...if i dont get at least 1 male out of 9 plants I'll start screwing with the light schedule to force a hermi lol :D

And noticed tonight a little bit of heat stress on some of the upper leaves...so I raised the lights another notch and moved the fan a little bit closer...it doesn't get very hot down there in the basement so that should sort that :)

And picture update time! I took a bunch of pics after raising the lights up again this morning, then one more after I rotated the flower bed 180 degrees:

In pic 803 you can see the white hairs, no balls yet anywhere...I need some balls!! :D

If you cant manage to get any balls you could try messing with their light schedule till you get some or try using colloidal silver? I'm not sure if using the silver would render all of the product of the grow unsmokable though.

I think i should be ok...i'm not seeing hairs on a couple plants that should be showing sex at this point, so those are probably male...and what is strange is those two plants don't have a main cola in the center...they branched off and have 2, then 2 secondaries from a node down that are only an inch below height wise to the main two.

It could be that branching that is causing them to not show sex yet, *shrug*.

I severely overfertilized my water by mistake...i was wondering why the hell my PPM meter was not reading for shit...when I noticed it had an x10 LED flashing away at me meaning to add a 0 to the value lol...so I ended up with a 2900PPM solution lol...I just mix about 1/8th that, and 7/8ths pure water till i get around 700-800 ppm then feed them that :D

Still doing daily morning and evening checks and still amazed at the amount of growth these puppies are putting out. Still hoping for a male from one of the non sex showings, but isn't it true that females usually show sex before a male does? I kinda assume this considering its much easier to identify the small white hairs vs looking for green balls surrounded by green vegetation :D

Still watering at about 700-800ppm with my neut solution of expert gardener 10-20-10, and shultz cactus food at 2-7-7, lots of microneutrients in the cactus food, so definitely no deficiencies anywhere :D

I've been weaving offshoot budsites up through the fan leaves to get more light, and a few of the plants have decided fuck the center cola, lets shoot those offshoots straight up. Hell one of the plants at about 4" up shoots out to 4 offshoots all the same height with 4 "colas" developing :D

Very happy so far considering its only 2x150watt HPS + 80watts of flouro tubes :D This would be about day 30 into growth for 4 of the plants, then staggering down over 3 weeks for the other 5. I'm starting to have issues getting light down to the newest two from all the fan leaves kicking about, but im moving them around where I can to try to get some light down to them. Every time I go down I see less and less soil and it looks more like a SOG lol

I think I'm starting to run into a space issue...SO MUCH GREEN lol

Seriously...way too much plant matter for such a small grow space...even though i've got 300watts of HPS and another 80watts of florescent, I need more :D

I think I might also ditch the flower bed idea for the next grow so I can have better adjustment on height and side space.

I'm having a cold issue I think as well...its been pretty chilly here the last few days and I'm noticing the thermometer right around the 68-70F mark with the lights on...so I can only wonder when they are out the temps dipping down into the 50's...I'm going to see about procuring some white plastic or mylar to staple to the ceiling to make a better area to grow in. I'm losing alot of light and I think having everything more contained with white walls will definitely help.

Oh I also found another plant that decided to sprout up...long and leggy...dug it out of the soil(tried to be gentle to the larger plants root structures) and put it in a 1/2 gallon pot and tucked it away in the corner of the flower bed.

So this means 10 plants now :D

So I have began the process of eliminating my cold issues...I've bought several emergency blankets(for the mylar), and assembled a frame down in the basement tied to the floor joists and a door. Next I need to find a few hinges around here somewhere and attach the door, put up the mylar, and start monitoring the temps :D

I will have before and after pics once finished, hopefully later on tonight :D

And here be the before and after pics of the new grow area :D

100_0809.jpg100_0808.jpg100_0810.jpg

So the total grow area is 2.5'x5', so not all too shabby...i have to say though you can see through the emergency blankets...if i doubled them up then it would be fine...oh well :D

Temps holding good...thermometer hanging on a chain says 70F...I figure about 80F at the canopy which is perfect :D Definitely reflecting light back into the area now :D
