I am on day 37 of vegging these white russians and have had nothing but problems since week 2. I posted a thread on here approx. 2 weeks ago and determined the problem was co2 burn because my regulator leaked and co2 got over 3000 ppm. Ok so since then growth picked up again and plants recovered nicely and all of a sudden like a week later the leaf edges started to show rust spots on what looked to be a calcium def. I foliar fed them with ro water and calmag and it stopped kind of for like a week. The next week went ok until the end then I started seeing spots on the leaves again which have evolved into what you see in the pictures I am about to post here right now. Some of the plants have these spots on every leaf and some aren't as bad but the ones that aren't as bad have these yellow spots on the leaves. I am growing using standalone dwc 5 gal buckets. I have a sentinel chhc-4 controlling the environment. RH has been between 39.5 and 60. Temps have been between 76 and 80 lights on and 69 and 75 lights off. Co2 has been at 1500ppm since I got the cap regulator and before that 1100 and 1600 ppm. Bucket temp is at 70-72 with no root rot. Water level is approx 2" below netpot and I fill to 3 gal exactly. PH is between 5.5 and the highest its been is 5.9 with no swings. I am using botanicare pure blend pro grow and liquid karma, aquashield, and calmag. Lately I have been using 1ml of superthrive per bucket every bucket change. Last bucket change before this I also added guardian my. I also use R/O water that comes out at 6.0 ph and 5 ppm on a .7 scale. I change buckets every week and the end of day 6. Last bucket change which was yesterday I went a little too hard on the ferts (leaf tips look a little burnt) but its not extreme. My nute dosage is as fallows....
Yesterdays bucket change in order of addition-
45 Drops of General Hydroponics ph up
25ml pbp grow (I think its a little too much)
25ml calmag
20ml liquid karma
25ml aquashield
1ml superthrive
3/4 cup of water with 10 drops of ph up diluted to set buckets at exactly 5.5
Last week-
42 drops ph up
20ml pbp grow
15ml calmag
15ml liquid karma
15ml aquashield
1ml superthrive
50ml guardian my to 16oz of ro water and sprayed roots really good with spray bottle
3/4 cup of ro water with 8 drops of ph up diluted... buckets at 5.5
*calcium def showed after this bucket change so I added a cup of water to each bucket with 5ml of calmag diluted and foliar fed them with 1ml calmag the next day*
week before that-
38 drops ph up
15ml pbp grow
20ml calmag
30ml liquid karma
45ml aquashield
3/4 cup of water with 6 drops ph up diluted
week before that (yeah I know I f'd up mixing but cut me some slack its my first grow)
30ml liquid karma
20ml calmag
45ml aquashield
10ml pbp grow
unknown amount of ph up undiluted straight into the solution (ouch) and saw lots of white clouds every time a drop hit lol what an asshole I am.
week before that-
I really cant remember but I know I only used liquid karma, aquashield and 150 ppm of pbp grow on a .7 scale.
Also I am using a 1000w hortilux blue air cooled by an 8" vortex and I am running a 20/4 light cycle again... I was using 18/6 last week because I started seeing preflowers and so far I have 6 girls out of 8 plants confirmed so now I am back on 20/4 because I noticed a big slow down in growth rate on 18/6. Almost all the leaves on the bottoms are dying off on every plant and a lot of them feel crunchy and hard except for all the new growth which I am sure will feel the same if I don't get this corrected soon. And before anybody says anything about the 1000mh being too hot I can get my hand to about 2 to 3" under the glass before it gets uncomfortable (Yeah I know that sounds unbelievable but my a/c unit and vortex are doing their thing for sure) my hood runs cooler then my 400w mh in the other room thats not aircooled. I also have mad airflow there is 4 osc. fans (quantum infinite breeze) that I think I mounted too high and they blow at different angles towards the tops of the plants. I don't know if thats the problem but I have been keeping them on low speed lately so I don't know. Anyway here are the pics and if anybody else needs anymore info please let me know I will answer any question you have.
