Subbed up, just in time too it looks like.
Heck yeah man...great to have you along for the ride. :)

I should be updating in a good week or so. The ladies are doing fine, and everything is running smooth for now.
I popped some CBDiesel x GrapeStomper not too long ago, so hopefully I get a few keepers out of that group.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great night SahTiva.

Created an "Isolation box" for my male, so that I can keep it in the same room as my ladies, and I can start some SWEET BREEDING PROJECTS. ;)

dude wheres the krusty at mane
Hehe, Hey DIMB, how are things?

Long story short, I culled her.
I was having issues with her being a little bit finicky and when I posted up some pics of her on another site, a buddy of mine was having the same issues with her.
It was mid-way through summer and I was battling heat problems and didn't want to compound my problems by having finicky plants in my flower room, so she went to the wayside.

Thanks for stopping by my grow, dude.

Nice, love the isolation box idea.
Is the fan on the top only going to run until (male) flowers become more prominent?
subbed.
I am going to run the fan on the top as long as it is in the box. It needs that constant air exchange to be a happy, healthy plant.
The good part is the box is airtight, and I went ahead and patched up the intake and exhaust port with double-layered pollen-catching filters.

FilterLabel2.jpg

It is going to be the true test of if this box works. If I have a fully seeded crop, I will know it needs some serious work. But if all my females come out seedless I will be a happy man. Essentially I am going to keep the male in there until the day I collect the pollen. The day I collect the pollen should coincide with one of my female "flav's" reaching 3-4 weeks maturity. What I will do is collect the pollen, toss it on the flav I have, then kill the male and drop my flav in the isolation chamber for a day or two, then water her down nice and good to kill any remaining pollen. Then she can be with the rest of the ladies for the rest of her seed-producing life.

That is, if everything goes according to plan.

Thanks for stopping by, CrazyBrennie...and thanks for the sub!

AHAHAH, it was all an elaborate ruse!

...and thanks, man.
That Jack The Ripper is starting to bulk up like none other. It is putting a big smile on my face every morning, I love it.

Hey M1d,
Just curious... does your JTR have a very "jacky" nose to it? or is it more lemony as the strain guide suggests.
I am familiar with XJ-13, which I conscider to be very "jacky" in the nose department.
Thanks

It's very musky with a hint of lemon. Nothing overpowering. It may just be the pheno I have but it is mostly a musky, earthy smell, with just that hint of lemon sweetness.
Thanks for stopping by man!

Look good man, Subbed up for the ride! You always have nice looking plants :)
Hey brother! Good seeing you stop by. :D Thanks for the kind words. bongsmilie Hope all is well with you and yours...

Just read through most of this and its beautiful. Looks like you've got your setup up pefectly fine tuned. Im going for my first grow soon (still scrapping supplies together) and I plan on using a 250watt hps with cool tube. What is the cfm rating on the fan you cool your light with? Also have you considered a vertical grow? I am to maximize yield per my space. But great job, I hope to one day have a setup that even slightly resembles yours.

Hey, thank you very much! Very kind of you...

Actually, I am in fact vert! LOL. I switched mid-way through the journal to make the best of the lumens I have.
I started the journal with a 250 horizontal, but found it to be a much better setup after installing a 400w and going bare-bulb vert.

I am not sure on the cfm rating on the fan I use, as my setup right now is a few smaller fans blowing upward over the bulb, and a "vornado" fan pushing the heat up and forward towards my window that exhausts the heat. (There is also a cheaper window fan that pushes the air out from there.)

Back when I was using just the 250w cool tube hps I just used a standard floor fan blowing through the tube and a smaller fan going over the canopy and I was golden...so you should be good to go.

What kind of space are you working with?
