loving your threads, im inspired for sure. I get scared just running my 1000 and two or three 600s. I just managed to turn off my furnace though so maybe i can add some more. How did the soil moms produce compared to your hydro last time?
The mothers didnt do much, but the taste was really good. I was worried about power consumption so I left them on the side. And they where not getting direct light.

I have decided to start in 1 gallon for veg, then move to 10 gallon bags, I'm worred about heat for just this summer, so I will probably be running under 15 600 watt lights. Maybe just 2 rows of 5 lights, with ample room to work. I will have to invest in a nice portable a/c machine.

I'm doing the venting into the attic, space it has plenty of venting, and will properly clean the air prior. When I was up in the attic, I found a 6 inch tube that vents to the roof that I will pull fresh air through.

I set up 40 bags to get an idea, I'm probably going to do between 60-70 plants in 10 gallon bags, shooting between 10-15 pounds cross my fingers come harvest dempending on lighting and how I handle the heat!

Thanks, comercial.

Comercial waiting patiently big dog. :peace:
Sorry guys came down with a serious flu bug for 2 weeks.

I will have updated pics tomorrow. But I can only afford to do 8 600 watt HPS and one 1,000 watt HPS. Under 60 plants in ten gallon bags of soil, I will trasplanted the 60 today and will get pics up soon.

Thanks, Comercial

Sorry for the delay guys. I'm not sure where to start, I decided to do less lighting and i'm really glad due to the summer weather. I'm doing six 600 watt HPS and one 1,000 watt HPS. I have a 400 watt over my moms in a seperate room, and then t-5's over my Ez-cloner.

I'm still having some issues on really hot day's, keeping the temps below 84f. When the lights come on at 7pm thats only a problem for a few hours then the A/C machine I bought works good.

This was my first time doing Soil and the only thing I can tell you is that it sucks... and it should stay outside. ....--sorry just my opinion.

I decided to set up a hydro vs. soil attempt. I veged the soil for 4 weeks, and they soil plants have been in flower now for around 18 days, and they are huge. I'm growing Purple Kush.

The hydro was veged in my aero cloner for a month, and then only 5 days after I transplanted them, and they will start flowering tomorrow.

I'm glad that i held back I wanted to do at least 15 lights at one point, but I would not have been able to handle the heat. But I will go bigger after summer....baby steps for now.

Oh ya, I have 45 plants in soil, and 53 in hydro. I will have 2 600 HPS and the 1,000 over the hydro. And the other 4 600 hps over the soil.

I have a problem, I have had 4 male plants that I caught 14 days in to flower, and removed them from the garden. Do you guys think im ok? Or is the garden fucked?

(read more but the details of the males on my next post)

Here are the pics. Another thing about the male's is i found them on day 14, but on about day 7 I took clones from random plants in the garden thinking they where all females. Well after removing the males, I forgot about the clones for untill day 16 or so, and few of the clones I took happen to be off the male plants. And a few of those clones dropped some pollen. The clones where in the garden but in a seperate clone box that I made. I removed all 120 clones yesterday after that happend.

- So that's my full Male story, some one with some insite into what I may be looking at please help. I'm worried i'm going to have nothing but seed, another experienced grower I know say I may be looking a few seeds off a few plants but still should have mainly a sensimia garden.

Thanks, Comercial.

They looks like they are doing really well.
btw what was the weight of your yeild with the hydro setup?
I think I ended up with about 6.....but my clones got really shocked 2 times, first when my friend i was teaching sprayed them with pesticide and put them under the t-5's wet and burnt them.

Then when the first day into transplanting, the main transformer blew and I had to water by hand for 7 hours or something crazy like that.

The plants recovered but, they didnt yield as much as they should have.

Thanks,

I only "Fim'ed" on of my plants, and i wish I would have done more. And some pics of day 23 of flower. The plants are almost as big as me! I should have cleaned them up a little more down low, but it's my first time in soil, and... my last!!!! I will update my Hydro in a bit.

Thanks,

Comercial

Ya, this was just a quick "lets put them in soil to save time" When rent starts adding up and you dont have shit growing it sucks. Then my clones got f$&%ing huge. So I decided what the hell and set up hydro bank next to the soil only veged them for like 5-7 days. And started flowering.

I cant wait for the winter, cold air and and a A/C unit = lots of lights.... I hope!
