My first attempt at QWISO

I sit all my 3rd + washes that are green in the sun,or under a strong grow light for a few minutes. Bam,chlorophyll gone!!! Back to amber, golden etc.
This totally will change the color, however be aware it also degrades the THC. I can't say precisely by how much but the UV breaks it down. I've definitely done it, and dabbed c grade oil. It doesn't taste great but it still gets you plenty high.

I don't care about the color, but DO care about all the THC content possible. The first to washes are so clear that had me worried I would not get anything lol
Nah your good there is oil there. The oil inside the trichomes isn't usually dark in color if you think about it. We usually harvest plants when they have milky white trichomes. If you do a good job on the first wAsh especially it really shouldn't have much color at all. I know you saw the pictures on my thread of the white crystal oil.

any ideas on amount of that third wash stuff to add per say lb of butter? or a batch of salve?

say I was doing this recipe...
  • 7-10 grams of ground, dried cannabis
  • 1 ½ cups of coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup olive oil (optional)
  • 1/3 cup beeswax
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 saucepan (or double boiler)
  • 1 jar
  • 1 cheesecloth
  • A few drops of essential oil (your choice)
since i used approx. 10 grams of product to make the oil should I use a gram of the oil in this recipe?

I treat it like any other concentrate as far as potancy and base how much I add on the number of doses I want to make and how strong.

1g of oil mixed into a recipe that makes 10 cookies or candies would make each item have a dose of roughly 75mg of thc.

Doubling the amount of cookies made would cut the strength in half.

The amount number of grams of product you start with for the qwiso will change your yield not the potancy.

I usually use about 1-2 grams of concentrate per batch depending on how large the recipe is and how strong I want them.

Take 1-2 grams of the qwiso and dissolve it into the amount of melted butter or oil needed for whatever recipe you are cooking.

If you are making candy you can dissolve the concentrate it a table spoon of everclear and add it to the boiling candy to mix the concentrate in.

Those are looking spot on man! At this point it should be mostly just the water that is finishing evaping if there is any liquid left. That white film is/will be oil once the water is gone. If there is no liquid left in the dish and the white filmy looking areas are dry and crystally I would give it a try.

Just run a razor or your dabber either through the oil droplets on the dish or scrape a spot of the crystal

Thanks man! They are all pretty dry..for the most part i can run my finger all along the top and no sticking or anything... the one exception is that corner of the 1st wash that still seems to have some very small wet bubbles. I will scrap it up later tonight when I get back and post the final results! My damn enail i ordered online is not here yet so looks like I will also be hitting up one of the local head shops and seeing what I can find... gonna be interesting since I have not been in a head shop (other then to buy screens for my old man metal pipe hahaha) in YEARS.. will see how this goes or if I just say F it and leave and throw some on top of a bowl for now lolz hurray the general public....

When you go to the head shop just ask for a cheap nectar collector or dab straw if you want something simple and cheap.

Or if you have a bong you can get quartz bucket to dab into.

I'm a glass blower and have almost stopped using my regular rigs. I started using these dab straws I make. They eventually wear out and break but they give a great fast hit in the mean time.

Nectar collectors with the replaceable tips are great to and last since only the tip wears out.
