Real good to see man. Kinda sucked to hear about the cloudy water situation. Looks like u got it fixed tho. Ur new growth looks healthy.
Where are u keeping ur water levels now?
I always added about a capfull of hydrogen peroxide to my 5 gallon res n never had any problems with cloudy or stinky or slimey stuff on my roots.
How much would be good for 8 gallons on nutes???

Yes they are BG !!
Love those big, healyth roots too !

Got some brown stuff on the roots that were in the nutes. Added a cap of hydrogen peroxide to the contol rez. Also been swappin out the frozen 2-liters every 6 hours...and they have been fully melted...DAMN!!!

What all are you putting in the water ?
Sometimes that causes roots to change colors.
Like PBP Liquid Karma will make your roots darker.

Thrive Alive Red, that might be part of it. I seems to gather in soft clumps. I'm hoping to get all my 3/4 drain lines and that "stuff" my boy uses in his Ebb&Gro.

Oh yeah, I was wondering how good that foam board blocks heat??? That, and how much better would that 5 gallon sport cooler work as a Control Rez vs the black bucket???

Pros recommend 3-5ml/gallon. Never felt the need to put more than a capfull tho which on the big bottle that i get is prolly equivalent to 7-10ml per bucket which prolly hold 3-4 gallons at the most during top-offs. I add mine rite from the very start of a newly set-up bucket tho maybe thats why ive never had to use more IDK.
And like Flo said discoloration of the roots is not necessarily a bad thing. My nutes always stained my roots brown. I always used Botanicaire pro series growing DWC and can say Liquid Karma will most def stain ur roots as well. If ur water doesnt stink get cloudy or develop slime then ur fine. Dont worry bout staining its natural with alot of nutes.
And Props man plants are looking like they are def bouncing back nicely just KEEP that damn wool dry as u can. The pro's say that just a simple pre soak from the start with wool is completely sufficient enuff to actually clone cuts and make them root. Would not recommend wool in DWC to anyone just for reason. The bubbles in ur water keep the hydroton plenty wet enuff for sure.
I promise u man let ur system do the work now ur plants r bout to blow the fuck up. They are still recovering from the overwatering stunt of growth. But snapping out of it.
Many props.

So I'm lookin @ 24 to 40 ml for 8 Gallons, I only added a cap full. But yeah, fuk rockwool. I like the rapid rooter plugs...would love to see larger versions though. I like them cuz they drain a lot better and they don't make you itch!!! I noticed between the 1.5 rockwool cube and the rapid rooter plugs that more roots get out faster with the plugs.

The styrofoam insulation works great.
It has a high R-value too, since it's 2 inches thick !
The 5gal cooler would def work better at controlling the temps too.

My mini DWC for rooting and blooming a clone to see the sex. Either I let it grow until it shows the sex or I bloom a clone so I know. The sooner I know the better!!!

I seen a few different DWC logos and had to have one. Not sure who made the logo with the roots but I added the Club DWC in blue/black. If you also want to use it please feel free.

Looking good man its funny u mention the logo. A grower haveing the exact same probs u started with made the original logo.
Anyway nice cloner i think theres a grower here that actually uses the coffee cans to grow in good stuff.
