I bought a couple of these same fans from lowes. very weak. not even strong enough to ventilate my small closet grow. then i bought a couple of the cheapest real inline fans from htg with some fan controllers and my shitt stays the temp i want.
Sorry to hear that set up is working good for me someday Ill up grade ,i did see cheap 1's on e-bay

If/when you do upgrade, check out businesslights.com. Good prices on fans, bulbs, fixtures. I have never ordered from them, so I can't vouch for the service personally, but the prices are right and I've seen others on this site recommend them.

4" Vortex 172 cfm- $114.90
4" Value Line 171 cfm- $69.90

question about cfm...bigger the number the better?? expensive fanss i see are like 170 cfm...i found one for like 45$ and its 500cfm...

im thinkin about gettin the 500cfm inline duct fan..for exhaust and then gettin 1-2 of those cheaps ones for intake..perhaps one for another exhaust..

The larger the diameter of pipe the more CFM too.

If you want to spend a bit of extra cash, one of these would be much better. They will move a lot more air, and have much more pressure to actually push the air through a length of ducting. I can't personally vouch for the site, but it looks professional, they have a toll-free number etc. I'm not a shill for them or anything, I've just been checking them out for an upcoming purchase. Have a look.
