My 2nd grow: Raft and DGHaze

Bummer...sorry to hear about your oaxacan.

How did you know it was the right time to clone and what to clone. I wanted to try it to maintain a min grow of 10 and replace any male fall out with a female clones...but at this point I can't tell male from female ...day 5 of flowering.

Love the DIY cool tube...all you need now is to do up a reflector for it. What was total cost on materials?

i cloned cuz all the plants were atleast 7 or 8 nodes i think... i waited so that i'd have 3 nodes cut off the top, and atleast 4 nodes remaining on the mom plants...


i cloned everything... but the male preflowers on the oax. gave that away... i even pulled it out today... and i gotta go kill that clone, too...


yeah, i gotta do something for a reflector for the light... but that'll eventually come, haha

pyrex tube ~13 bucks after shipping (ebay buy)
socket ~ free from friend (lucky me) but what, like 5-7 bucks if i had purchased it
pipe insulation ~5 bucks
pipe strapping ~ 2 bucks
metal tape ~5 bucks

that's basically that

just wait for those preflowers to start... they'll happen within the next week for sure...

and if you're already flowering... just clone from the lower branches that wouldn't be getting as much light anyways....

the plants are coming along nicely though, recovering well from the topping... some are smelling quite sweet already... i am DEFINATELY getting my muffin fans this week which means i'll be able to put them into the flower room and finally find my mommies... let's hope i have lots to choose from!



also, i made a little DIY carbon filter for the grow room and i'll have picks of that along with the flower room and whatnot once its finally all together... next weekend i hope

today i did a little shopping
went down to the hydro store, 20% off, woohoo!

so i picked up

i think i've just spotted female preflowers on three of my plants, two of the dgh and one of the raft... yipee!

and these weren't all planted the same time due to some problems at the beginning, so it makes sense they aren't showing all showing at the same time...

these are my three healthiest looking plants too.... =]

they look really good. nice structure. your DGxH looks a little tighter than mine did.

the past two days they have stretched a LOT but have also put on more foliage so it isn't all bad...

flowering by weekend hopefully

gonna be a christmas winter in the desert i hope =]

um, i cut the top 3-4 nodes off the top of the plant, cut at an angle with a razor, dipped into ROOTONE cloning powder, and stuck into pete pellets... then mist mist mist....

are the clones doing any better ?

looks like to much misting in the early pics.

they had just been misted in that pic, hence all the water... they've picked up quite a bit, but no roots showing yet... wait wait wait

different from rockwool...

they are these little pucks you soak in water and they expand into little petemoss filled this to start seeds/clones in... same purpose as rockwool, but its made out of plant matter...

so, after the frustration of having my apt. searched/inspected... i'll be backk into business by tonight or tomorrow... already got most everything moved in there...

i have a new flowering room... the last one was just some wire strapping bent and nailed to the walled with my panda plastic throw over it fairly haphazardly

the new one was a $15 "portable closet" from the family dollar store... basically some lightweight tubing and plastic that all fits together to make a big 3ft wide, 5 ft. high, and like 20inch deep box.... didn't put on the covering it came with... it was some cheap "breathable" material with some see-through plastic-vinyl parts.... not at all what i want... so i took some panda plastic and neatly (or atleast pretty neat for my standards, ha) wrapped and stapled it around the frame... NICE
put a tarp zipper on it, and PRESTO! new flower room... its not too bad... even has a bar at the top to hang my light from and a fan...

i'll have pics this weekend most likely of it and all my plants... which have been in flower lighting for the past few days and i'll continue that on

so now it gets exciting
